Anne Arundel County transports recyclables to the recycling facility where they are
sorted and processed.
Recycling processors sell the items to various manufacturers. Those manufacturers use the recycled material to make new products.
RECYCLING - a LIFE CYCLERecyclable items are dropped off at the recycling center.
The recycled items come back to consumers as new items such as bottles, paper, and even carpet.

For a quick and safe visit, organize your load so that you can unload each material separately at different sections of the facility. Prepare to unload your recyclables in the Recycling Area first. If you have large quantities of several types of materials, consider bringing only one material per trip.

Pallets Wood and plastic (remove any metal or plastic banding)
Propane Tanks 1 lb. and 20 lb. only (empty or full)
Rigid Plastic Patio furniture, children’s playsets, storage containers (like bottles, trash cans and buckets), flower pots, toys and lawn furniture.
Rubble Concrete, brick, block, asphalt and stone NO sinks, toilets, tubs, plastic, wood, metal or trash.
Scrap Metal / Appliances Items with chemical refrigerants (refrigerators, air conditioners, humidifiers) must be lifted, not tossed, from a vehicle into the designated Freon recovery area.
Tires Passenger or light truck tires only. More than four tires will be accepted for a fee.
