Regular Waste and Recycling Service:• Place your bins out the night before your collection day• Lids must open towards the road• Bins must be placed 50cm apart• Christmas day is the only public holiday that will affect your collection – Check the Shire or Avon Waste websites
Green Waste:• If you cannot reuse your green waste take it to the Waste Transfer Station
Bulk Waste:• Can be taken to the Shire Waste Transfer Station on Truebody Street, Kulin• Please separate waste for recycle from waste for disposal• Please follow directions from the facility operator• Disposal fees may apply for certain types of bulk waste. Call the Shire for current fees and charges on 9880 1204

RECYCLE BIN EXCHANGEFarmers who recycle every fortnight can qualify to partake in the recycle bin exchange program if they choose to do so. Participation is subject to bin availability. Ask the station attendant for more information.
drumMUSTERdrumMUSTER is the National program that has been set up for the collection and recycling of cleaned, eligible, non-returnable crop production and on-farm animal health chemical containers. Eligible drums can be taken to the Transfer Station and processed by the facility operator.Remember to partake in drumMUSTER your drums must be triple rinsed and dry before delivery! www.drummuster.com.au for more information.LANDFILLFor the disposal of building rubble, soil or asbestos, please contact the Shire Office on 9880 1204 to arrange a date and time for drop off at the landfill
COMMUNITY RECYCLINGKULIN LIONS CLUBThe Kulin Lions Club actively recycles the following items with the support of the Kulin community:• Aluminium cans – can cages are located at the recreation facilities around Kulin and on High Street for the community to use• Car batteries – old car batteries can be taken down to Haydn’s Hire at 67 Day Street, Kulin• Postal Stamps – old postal stamps can be collected and returned to the Kulin Post Office• Spectacles – old specs can be dropped off at the Post Office
