ST. MARY’S “BLUE MASS”::All are invited to attend the Sept. 28 7 p.m. “Blue Mass” to honor area first responders at Storm Lake St. Mary’s Parish at 320 Seneca Street. This is a votive mass for the archangels and is open to the public. The event is co-sponsored by the Storm Lake Public Safety Department Chaplains – Fr. We have a web site: www.stjohnonawa.com We are still in the process of adding and building on it, but our

basic site is here. I will try to post bulletins on the site every week. It might take a while to be complete, but

visit it and let us know what we need to add. Eventually, St. Bernards will have a page of their own on this site

also.

The DAA is hard at work in your parish each and every day as you and your fellow parishioners at St. John

Onawa & St. Bernard, Blencoe. Whether it be Father O’Kane meeting with families of the parish during

their times of joy and sorrow, the parish bookkeeper overseeing the finances or your Religious Education

teachers preparing materials for class—the DAA provides financial support and other resources for these

ministries plus many, many more.Would you consider showing your appreciation for these ministries

with a gift to the Diocesan Annual Appeal? Giving is simple—you can either detach the card sent to you,

use the enclosed envelope and return to your parish. Or, you can give online at www.scdiocese.org. Please

reflect on how you have experienced the love of the Lord in your parish and consider participating in this

year’s Diocesan Annual Appeal. St. John’s Goal is $8951.00 St. Bernard’s Goal is $2170.00

Please remember to drop your donation in the collection basket or if you give online, please

notify us of the date and amount..Thank you
