“Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

The Eucharist as a living and dynamic encounter with God celebrates a dedication, a donation and a service that we must seek as a means of practicing charity and justice. “There, we find Jesus the Bread of Life. Therefore, el who comes to me will not go hungry and he who believes in me will not go thirsty. “

In the first reading the Lord says: “Hear, all thirsty, go for water, also those who have no money” ... Eat without paying for wine and milk for nothing. This is the central point of the fraternal encounter that the Lord offers us when we value the Eucharist; So, you open your hand, Lord, and you satiate us with favors.

In this fraternal encounter, the second reading tells us that “No creature can separate us from the Love of God, manifested in Jesus Christ” and in the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, we are given one more example of the Lord’s great heart and love for us. “They all ate until they were full and even so they collected 12 baskets with the leftovers; because when God intervenes there is always more than enough and when we count on Him, He always gives us more than we need. This is the Divine Mercy and this should serve as a motivation when we give and share with others the goods that we have freely received.

Thank you all for your generosity and support to the diocesan and parish works. All this will be mercifully rewarded by God: “To whom more gives, more will be given.”

As a general notice I inform you that after an evaluation process presented to the Diocese as your Parish Administrator, I am awaiting confirmation by the Bishop for the Installation ceremony as Pastor of Blessed Sacrament, if they choose to provide me with this opportunity. Now I am going to dedicate my second year to further strengthen the Online service, the Web page, the pastoral work with all the groups, and the remodeling of the School building, the Chapel and the Convent.

MISA FUNERAL CON CENIZASLa Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento abre sus puertas, a todos aquellos que perdieron a un ser querido durante la pandemia, y cuyos cuerpos cremados aún no han tenido funeral, para que puedan celebrar las exequias con las cenizas de su ser querido. Se solicita como principal requisito el Certificado de Defunción.Para hacer los arreglos correspondientes por favor llamar a la oficina parroquial al 718-639-3889.Recuerden, que una de las Obras Corporales de Misericordia es, darle cristiana sepultura a los fallecidos.

“No solo de pan vive el hombre, sino de toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios”.

La Eucaristía como encuentro vivo y dinámico con Dios celebra una entrega, una donación y un servicio que hemos de buscar como medio de practicar la caridad y la justicia. “Allí encontramos a Jesús el Pan de Vida. Por lo tanto, el que viene a mí no pasará hambre y el que cree en mí no pasará sed”.

En la primera lectura dice el Señor: “Oíd, sedientos todos, acudid por agua, también los que no tienen dinero” …Comed sin pagar vino y leche de balde. Este el punto central del encuentro fraternal que nos ofrece el Señor cuando valoramos la Eucaristía; así abres la mano, Señor y nos sacias de favores.

En este encuentro fraternal, nos dice la segunda lectura que “Ninguna criatura podrá apartarnos del Amor de Dios, manifestado en Jesucristo” y en la multiplicación de los panes y peces, se nos da una muestra más del gran corazón y amor del Señor por nosotros. “Comieron todos hasta saciarse y aún así recogieron 12 canastos con las sobras; pues cuando Dios interviene siempre sobra y cuando contamos con El, siempre nos da más de lo que necesitamos. Así es la Misericordia Divina y esto nos debe de servir como motivación cuando damos y compartimos con otros, los bienes que gratuitamente hemos recibido.

Gracias a todos por su generosidad y apoyo a las obras Diocesanas y parroquiales. Todo esto será recompensado misericordiosamente por Dios: “Al qué más da, más se le dará”.

Como aviso general les informo que luego de un proceso de evaluación presentado a la Diócesis como su Administrador parroquial, estoy a la espera de la confirmación por parte del Señor Obispo para la ceremonia de Instalación como PASTOR de Blessed Sacrament, si optan por brindarme esta oportunidad. Ahora mi segundo Año lo voy a dedicar a fortalecer más el servicio Online, la página Web, el trabajo pastoral con todos los grupos, y la remodelación del edificio de la Escuela, la Capilla y la Casa de las Religiosas.

ADULT’S SACRAMENTSADULT SACRAMENTS-RCIA, OPEN

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a process for adults, who freely wish to undertake the journey of faith and conversion, seeking for the living God through the Sacraments.

Eligible candidates for the program:

1. Adults who have not been baptized and wish to do so in the Catholic Faith.

2. Baptized Christians of other denominations who wish to be part of the Catholic Church.

3. Baptized Catholic adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation to complete the Christian Initiation Sacraments.

The classes will begin on Friday, September 4, 2020 in the virtual modality if required, also the face-to-face classes will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2020 according to the parish provisions. For more information call the Faith Formation office at 1-718-639-6159.

CONFIRMATION PROGRAM

(9 WEEKS)

Our parish offers a 9-week preparation process for adults who have not yet completed the Sacrament of Confirmation. Registrations are open but the start date of classes has not yet been determined. Interested parties call the Office of Faith Formation at 1-718-639-6159.

SACRAMENTOS PARA ADULTOSRICA-INSCRIPCIONES ABIERTAS

El RICA (Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos) es un proceso destinado a los adultos, que libremente desean emprender el camino de la fe y de la conversión, para buscar al Dios vivo a través de los Sacramentos.

Candidatos aptos para el programa:

1. Adultos que no se han bautizado y desean hacerlo en la Fe Católica.

2. Adultos bautizados cristianos en otras denominaciones que desean ser parte de la Iglesia Católica.

3. Adultos bautizados Católicos que desean hacer la Primera Comunión y la Confirmación para completar los Sacramentos de Iniciación de nuestra Fe Cristiana.

Las clases comenzaran el Viernes 4 de Septiembre de 2020 en la modalidad virtual si es requerida, así mismo las clases presenciales se iniciarán el Domingo 13 de Septiembre de 2020 según las disposiciones parroquiales.
