We would like to come into contact with candidates for the position of Waste Manager for the Island of St. Eustatius. Responsibilities: The Waste Manager is responsible for formulating and implementing an adequate waste management program on St. Eustatius. To be able to achieve this, the Island of St. Eustatius has formulated four objectives for which the Waste Manager has final responsibility. 1. The implementation of the separate collection, temporary storage and processing/ transport of dangerous and special waste; 2. The implementation of waste prevention, recycling and reuse; 3. The improvement of the quality of the current dumping site and realizing the storage of waste materials to be used elsewhere; 4. Improvement, implementation and enforcement of the regulations to prevent litter and illegal dumping of waste. Requirements: College or university training in mechanical engineering or civil engineering; Extensive experience and knowledge of (international) waste processing issues; You have a process-oriented overview and an eye for detail; You have good communication skills; You have excellent command of both Dutch and English.
