INTRODUCTION

Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency has been the most popular medium for the exchange of assets and is the first of its kind to set up a base for worldwide acceptance. Since its release in 2009, Bitcoin has redefined the way we conduct transactions globally. The primary recognition of Bitcoin stems from the inherent technology of Blockchain which leads to the distribution of a public ledger and performs one-to-one transactions without the involvement of any third party.

The decentralized structure provided by the Blockchain removes control from a central organization in addition to eliminating a primary point of failure. Despite the mass adoption of Blockchain behind Bitcoin, there are still some flaws which act as a barriers for mainstream consumers.

Other Blockchain implementations identified the significant challenges such as limited capacity, transaction costs, and lack of privacy. One of the Blockchains which aims to overcome these obstacles is Multichain which provides easy to deploy packages.

RecordsKeeper, as a platform, is built upon Multichain technology providing a globally available decentralized system for Records Management. RecordsKeeper has been built upon the core principles of Blockchain, providing a new layer of anonymous record storage which can be utilized by anyone in the world.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Much attention has been given of late to the vast challenges posed by electronic records.

Though a large percentage of records are electronic now, there are well in excess of 400 different electronic file formats that may have different processing and storage requirements. Records are also produced by a variety of sources, for instance: mainframe computers, business applications as well as office applications.

Records management systems must integrate with all kinds of different systems in addition to the one that create them. And they need to seamlessly capture records from the time they are generated and immediately store them without human intervention. For truly seamless integration, it’s important for a solution to have an open architecture. Organizations now face these core challenges at the intersection of people, processes, and technology:

How do we adapt these systems to the coming wave of massive data? How do we understand and utilize what is in these systems to solve the next generation of problems? How do we strategically migrate from legacy content systems to more modern ones – and still keep the lights on?How do we give our employees and associates the tools – and information – they need to delight their customers?

IMMUTABILITY, INTEGRITY & NON REPUDIATION

The above problems can be summarized as shown below:

VISIONOur vision is to create a global open ecosystem for data sharing and verification.

A GLOBAL DATA REPOSITORY OR VERIFIABLE RECORDSRecordsKeeper allows anyone to push verifiable records of any data objects in the global open RecordsKeeper Blockchain.

By pushing the verifiable records in to the RecordsKeeper Blockchain anyone in the whole world can verify the authenticity, integrity and immutability of the data without involving the trusted third party.

All the records can be pushed in Key-Value pair format (just like any other noSQL DB) using a small transaction fee in XRK tokens (RecordsKeeper fuel) and the same data can later be fetched using the same key or transaction ID free for life.

SOLUTION - RECORDSKEEPER AND XRK

What is RecordsKeeper?RecordsKeeper offers a full suite of structured and easily accessible record keeping and data security solutions for organizations and individuals. RecordsKeeper creates a platform for structured storage (NoSQL Database) over a decentralized network for the ease of data access and security between peers. The RecordsKeeper capitalises over the pros of the Blockchain network to create an ecosystem for secure transfer, authorization, integrity and authenticity of data. Each peer is an autonomous agent, capable of performing these actions without significant human interaction.

It is not immutable.Easy to change, verydifficult to detect thetempering of data.

Security is expensivein centralized tech.It costs millions ofdollars if you wantbank grade security.

Even after investinghuge amount ofmoney, it can nevergive you same levelof trust or confidenceon security.

Impossible toauthenticate & verifydata without involvingthe trusted third party.

Impossible to checkdata integrity withoutinvolving trustedthird party.

How will you check theintegrity of millions ofdata objects or recordshave been maintained? Its not possible withMySQL unless MySQLrecords are un-editable.

IMMUTABILITY, INTEGRITY & NON REPUDIATION

RecordsKeeper offers an out of the box functionality built upon Multichain as a structured decentralized database store.

When a user uploads a file, a condensed record along with meta information (Fig. Upload Metadata) is signed and pushed into the RecordsKeeper ledger. The actual data is pushed to the encrypted storage layer for later retrieval.

If any alteration of the record occurs after it is uploaded, the hash of the record will be different and its immutable traces will be kept in the Blockchain. A client can also use checksum with SHA256 hashing to ensure that the digest of the record hasn't been altered.

RecordsKeeper is an open platform with key-value storage. A user accessing the RecordsKeeper can create a key-value entry in existing data stream on top of RecordsKeeper ledger which would act as a secure data storage.

User can also use an encrypted storage with our public ledger to store unlimited amount of data. This data can be shared with the interested parties by sending a transaction ID or record key.

WHY RECORDSKEEPER IS USEFUL?An open ecosystem to manage records reduces the need for establishing trust with third party organizations and the need of a large setup to create immutable records.

Moreover it provides a community control and verification over the data shared on RecordsKeeper ledger.

RecordsKeeper makes it very easy to publish the immutable data objects of up to 8MB per transaction on RecordsKeeper Blockchain using XRK Tokens as a Gas (Just like Ether works as GAS/Tx fee in Ethereum Blockchain). There is no need to setup the whole system to create just one immutable object.

RecordsKeeper is an open platform with key-value storage like MongoDB. A user accessing RecordsKeeper can create a key-value type of record on top of RecordsKeeper ledger which would act as secure data storage. Users can also use an encrypted storage with our public ledger to store unlimited amounts of data.

This data can be shared with the interested parties by sending a transaction. An open ecosystem to manage records reduces the need for establishing trust on third party organizations. Moreover it provides a community control and verification over the data shared on RecordsKeeper ledger.

Here is how it works:Step 1: User-1 acquires XRK Tokens into their XRK WalletStep 2: User uploads Records/Data into RecordsKeeper Blockchain by paying the upload fee in XRK (0.1 XRK/KB) in a key-value pair format. Key can be used to retrieve the record later on. Maximum 8 MB can be uploaded per transaction.Step 3: Miner confirms the transaction by adding a new Block.Step 4: Miner earns Tx Fees and Block Reward for mining.Step 5: User-1 Shares the record key or tx id with User-2 who can verify the records/data’s authenticity and integrity at any time in future.

When a user uploads a file, a condensed record along with meta information (Fig. Upload Metadata) is signed and pushed into the RecordsKeeper ledger. The actual data is pushed to the encrypted storage layer for later retrieval. If any alteration of the record occurs after it is uploaded, the hash of the record will be different and its immutable traces will be kept in the Blockchain.A client can also use checksum with SHA256 hashing to ensure that the digest of the record has not been altered.

RecordsKeeper offers an array of open-source libraries and APIs to publish the records in public Blockchain through programming, website, backend services, mobile & desktop apps, servers etc. RecordsKeeper offers a full suite of structured and easily accessible record keeping for organizations and individuals. RecordsKeeper creates a platform for structured storage over decentralized network for the ease of data access and security between peers.

RecordsKeeper capitalizes over the pros of the Blockchain network to create an ecosystem for secure transfer, authorization, integrity and authenticity of data. Each peer is an autonomous agent, capable of performing these actions without significant human interaction. IMMUTABILITY, INTEGRITY & NON REPUDIATION

1. IntroductionXRK are the native tokens of RecordsKeeper Blockchain which are tracked on a peer-to-peer network. XRK tokens behave as an economy to power the entire system. Users pay the records upload fee using the XRK tokens which gets delivered to the miners for mining the Block and securing the Blockchain. This utility token fuels the ecosystem and ensures it runs as a win-win for everyone including the XRK holder, user and miner.

2. Usage and Role of XRK TokensSince RecordsKeeper Ecosystem/Platform is fueled by XRK tokens which work as a GAS to upload the data/records in RecordsKeeper Blockchain, the usage of XRK tokens is for using it as fees only for uploading the data/records in RecordsKeeper Blockchain and rewarding the miner for mining a Block. Currently the upload fees is 0.1 XRK/KB. So for 1MB of data you have to pay around 100 XRK as a fee.

3. XRK MiningRecordskeeper follows an open POW model for asset mining similar to Bitcoin. Despite the proliferation of innovation (and, in many cases, pump and dump schemes), Bitcoin maintains its position as the predominant cryptocurrency. The obvious reason is because a large number of individuals and businesses already hold or accept the Bitcoin currency.

However, there is also a significant network impact in terms of mining. Bitcoin is the cryptocurrency backed by the most mining power, making it the most secure against 51% attacks. This gives it the highest perceived value and therefore the highest market capitalization. This approach of protecting the Blockchains is very difficult for early stage projects with PoW based mining, because the Blockchain can easily be overpowered by using massive computing power in the initial phases. The solution lies in a constraint on the number of blocks which may be created by the same miner within a given window. MultiChain implements this scheme using a parameter called mining diversity, which is constrained by 0 ≤ mining diversity ≤ 1.

The validity of a block is verified as follows: 1. Apply all the permission changes defined by transactions in the block in order. 2. Count the number of permitted miners who are defined after applying those changes. 3. Multiply miners by mining diversity, rounding up to get spacing. 4. If the miner of this block mined one of the previous spacing -1 block, the block is invalid.

IMMUTABILITY, INTEGRITY & NON REPUDIATION

In Recordskeeper, the first few blocks of a chain define a “setup phase”, in which a single administrator is able to control the Blockchain, until block number 4204800 where the consensus admin is available. Only the admin can add a miner to the community. After this block, the mining community will be open for everyone. The 51% chance of attack will also be kept in check by maintaining a mining diversity of factor 0.2. Which means, if there are 100 miners in the community and a miner mines a new block he/she will have to wait for 20 blocks to be mined before he/she can mine another one. By not letting a miner mine a continuous series of blocks, we will be limiting him/her from overpowering the Blockchain, or manipulating the transaction data.

4. XRK Mining RewardsEvery newly added miner will get a reward of 10000 XRK coins in their coinbase account at the time of joining. Miners will also get a reward annually for supporting and promoting the community. 10 million XRK coins from the preminted supply will be distributed equally among the miners for this.

XRK Tokens can be mined using Proof-of-Work algorithm, cloud servers, local computers and servers.

Through miners, RecordsKeeper Blockchain is adding 10 XRK every 15 seconds (average). These 10 XRKs are awarded to the miners for adding a new Block onto the Blockchain.

There are also 300 million premined XRK tokens owned by the company. By the time of this writing there are approximately 302 million XRK in the RecordsKeeper Ecosystem (300 million Pre-mined and 2+ million mined by miners) and more XRKs are getting mined through RecordsKeeper Blockchain miners.

RECORDSKEEPER BLOCKCHAIN - THE UNDERLYING TECHNOLOGY1. Approach (POW/POS)RecordsKeeper Blockchain builds upon the existing system provided by Mutichain technology. Multichain effectively provides the solution for privacy and integrity management. RecordsKeeper aims to provide a public offering for a Blockchain with hardened security and authenticity. We approach the current challenges for record management by providing a decentralized ledger to verify and transact all the records. RecordsKeeper provides a ledger which is based on permissions instead of traditional Proof of Work algorithm. If a user wants to connect with a node, they have to sign a message and send it as an additional check for holding the private key, if all the nodes approve the authenticity can the user connect the RecordsKeeper ledger thus, in turn, providing an extended handshake with the RecordsKeeper ledger.

Once the access is granted to connect to the ledger, the user can upload data by creating the stream and share the data with other parties by initiating a transaction. The user is allowed to create an open or closed stream. Open streams are writeable by anybody who has permission to send a Blockchain transaction which can be used by government agencies to verify KYCs. Closed streams are restricted to a changeable list of permitted addresses/nodes which can be utilised by organizations to control compliance for employees.

While reading permissions are granted to all the permitted users, writing permissions will be controlled by the consensus of the parties involved. All the permissions of the root node for RecordsKeeper ledger will be propagated to any additional nodes added to the system.

The traditional Blockchain systems rely heavily on the Proof of Work algorithm where the miners with the available computational capabilities are allowed to confirm the transactions with RecordsKeeper Blockchain, we embed the permissions based consensus where the additional miners are added to the system when the group of defined miners agree. The challenge with the RecordsKeeper Blockchain is the possibility of malign miners who could overpower the network. This problem is avoided by providing a stake of consensus for admin over the mining consensus. This consensus by admin will be available till block number 4204800.

We also use mining diversity as a mean to keep a single miner from taking control of the network. The round robin approach for mining allows a certain miner to mine only after a certain number of blocks has been passed in the network. Once the miner is added to the network, they can work with the system with a traditional Proof of Work approach, but the authenticity provided by RecordsKeeper avoid the challenge of overpowering the network.

2. TransactionRecordsKeeper provide the users the ability to send, create, issue, publish and revoke transactions. Apart from that, RecordsKeeper also allows the users to publish the data to multiple recipients. For example, organization want to share the data with every employee then you can use the RecordsKeeper stream to upload data and later use RecordsKeeper ledger to grant permissions to all the users you want to have access. Transactions can also be signed and published from a hardware wallet. RecordsKeeper Ledger works with OP_RETURN metadata thus all the wallets compatible with same can be used to work with RecordsKeeper. The management and publication of streams work with transactions. The new asset permissions are only granted to the admins.

12

Page 14: RECORD KEEPING DATA SECURITY SOLUTIONimages.fxempire.com/ico/whitepaper/whitepaper recordskeeper.pdfRecordsKeeper is an open platform with key-value storage like MongoDB. A user accessing

IMMUTABILITY, INTEGRITY & NON REPUDIATION

RecordsKeeper also supports multi currency transactions where you can send and receive multiple assets in a single transaction. These kinds of transactions are heavily useful for delivery-vs-payment systems where the payment is made simultaneously with the delivery of the required assets/records. A prime use case could be for validation of credentials where the parties involved can send a partial transaction with validated records to the user. Later the user can append the transaction with the assets/payment and send back to the counterparty. Once the transaction is validated, it can be broadcast to the RecordsKeeper ledger to make it permanent. This whole process can be conducted even outside the nodes to establish more trust.

3. AssetsA transaction in RecordsKeeper represents an issuance of a new asset. In Bitcoin, every transaction contains the quantity of Bitcoins contained within the outputs. If a transaction has more number of output coins compared to the input, the transaction is rejected by the network. This kind of behaviour is achieved as all the nodes in the network tracks the number of coins available on unspent output addresses. The result is the presence of transactions over the Blockchain network provide confidence to its users about the accuracy of the quantities involved. To provide tokenization assets over the Blockchain similar to Bitcoin, we use the metadata supported in transactions but this metadata is not as securely bonded as compared to the Bitcoins quantity. If we try to create tokens over this metadata then we won’t be able to track them unless we have a fully synced node. This will nullify the concepts for lightweight wallets and increase the load for the nodes.

RecordsKeeper Blockchain embeds the assets with transactions. The transactions are verified by calculating the total number of assets present in the transaction. Moreover the permission based system in RecordsKeeper ledger prevents malign or unauthorized nodes for creating assets over the Blockchain.

4. SecurityPrivacyA traditional Blockchain like Bitcoin is publicly readable by all the participants. Although this helps to create a decentralized system by reading other participants transaction history through their public addresses, this might not be desirable for certain use-cases. RecordKeeper’s ledger allows privacy for these use-cases by enabling the participants to transact under many different addresses. This avoids any party involved in RecordsKeeper ledger for gaining the transaction history of counterparty.

RecordsKeeper users are also allowed to move the records between their multiple addresses to avoid any additional pitfalls. In the future, we aim to support cryptographic techniques like zero proof which will enable the users to have a secure part of Blockchain over RecordsKeeper ledger.

ImmutabilityThe notion of immutability is defined by the conditions under which the immutable asset can not be changed. For example the Bitcoin network can be undermined by a 51% attack where the holders of majority mining power can rewrite the history of the complete chain. RecordsKeeper Blockchain is built upon the mining diversity where the permissioned miners are rotated within an algorithm. Moreover, to build up community and avoid network overstake, RecordsKeeper Blockchain is configured to use admin consensus to add a new miner to the network. This provides immutability from a powerful miner in taking control over the Blockchain.

13

Page 15: RECORD KEEPING DATA SECURITY SOLUTIONimages.fxempire.com/ico/whitepaper/whitepaper recordskeeper.pdfRecordsKeeper is an open platform with key-value storage like MongoDB. A user accessing

EncryptionRecordsKeeper allows users to encrypt data before sending over the stream. In certain use-cases, a user can create 3 streams of data to hold symmetric keys encrypted by public keys, transaction details and the data shared across the network which is encrypted with symmetric keys. This process will allow users to share the symmetric keys between the permissioned users and seamlessly share data over the RecordsKeeper Blockchain. In addition, the organizations can use a thin encryption layer to hide the network activities of their organization.

IMMUTABILITY, INTEGRITY & NON REPUDIATION

RecordsKeeper offers a Light wallet with at focus on scalability and performance. The Light wallet gives the users the ability to create, store and receive records/assets from the RecordsKeeper Blockchain. The Light wallet offers following features: The transactions are stored in memory on disk in a suitable format and retrieve when needed. The transactions are indexed by specific criterias and this removes the need for full wallet scans. If the size of the transaction is 256 bytes or more then it is not stored in the wallet. The wallet contains a pointer to the metadata present in Blockchain. This helps to improve the performance.

Bitcoin’s core wallet is also supported with RecordsKeeper Blockchain but we won’t recommend if a large amount of data is to be recorded on the RecordsKeeper ledger. Bitcoin wallet stores all the transactions relevant to a particular node. This way of storing the transaction will slow down the performance of the wallet over time. For example if you exceed 20,000 transactions for a node, there will be to a drastic change in the performance of the wallet. In the future we will also launch wallets supporting stream databases. Thus users will be able to create, upload and share the data through mobile wallets over the Blockchain.

INSURANCE RECORD KEEPING

This use case addresses improvements in the operational functions of an insurance company. It also helps in improving their dealings with intermediaries, providers, and policyholders resulting in an excellent customer experience, enhanced product value, and also helps in laying the groundwork for greater customer choice in the market. The overall motive behind this is to improve operational effectiveness, decrease costs, and further strengthen the relationships with the insured. The following can be achieved with a structured storage:

1. Moving towards interoperable, comprehensive recordsThe added security and ability to establish trust between entities are the basic two reasons why RecordsKeeper can help in solving the interoperability problem better than today’s existing technologies.2. Detecting fraud more effectivelyWhen fraudulent information is submitted to insurer through false claims, by falsified applications, or through other channels, RecordsKeeper can help in determining whether the submission is indeed valid or not.3. Improving provider directory accuracyThe technology's decentralized consensus can be leveraged by the unique provider directories to allow providers and insurers for easy and quick update listings.4. Simplifying the application process by making it more client-centricProviding an easier-to-access, more comprehensive set of insurance records on a Blockchain can help in infusing comfort and peace of mind into what, for many, which is now an intrusive and often discouraging application process.5. Facilitating a dynamic insurer/client relationshipElectronic records securely stored on a Blockchain could be the foundation for integrating a wide variety of wellness-related behaviors into the insurer/client dynamic.

In today’s digital society, everyone is concerned about the privacy and security of personal data, especially in health care. So we need higher transparency in medical information, patients privacy and reducing possible security breaches. People nowadays are faking their health status and problems in claiming health insurance while some also fake medical cases to claim fraudulent money. These cases when taken to the court, turns into complications due to lack of judicial system assertions. RecordsKeeper enables the sharing of information on a secure, tamper-proof and indelible platform. Nothing can be tampered or fraudulently conveyed over the RecordsKeeper ledger. Once the record is saved, it is easily verifiable, stays in system and easily accessible.

Almost all enterprises have document verification needs, either for customer KYC or employee/vendor verifications. RecordsKeeper solves this use case perfectly, without the need to maintain physical documents. The authenticity of these documents can be easily verified because of the nature of the Blockchain. RecordsKeeper streams can maintain records of various identification cards, which can be shared and verified when required by any enterprise unit or the government agencies.

Employers face a major hurdle in hiring employees, when they require to verify candidates credentials. A survey made by one of the largest online job finder sites, CareerBuilder, states that a staggering 58 percent of employers have caught a lie on the resume of individuals. A separate report on the 2015 hiring outlook done by HireRight, a company majorly offering global background checks, employment verification services, and drug testing show that screening uncovered lies or misrepresentations on a resume is required for 86 percent of employers. There is no doubt that resume accuracy is a common problem in current environment and the effort required to verify credentials, impacts on the hiring process and costs employers, time and money. This is where RecordsKeeper will increase transparency and address frauds in employee credentials.

One of the most tempting features of Blockchain from the compliance perspective is its practical immutability. As soon as data is saved onto the chain, it cannot be modified or removed. This is one of the major feature making Blockchain used as the document or proof for the transfer of any digital asset.RecordsKeeper tends to apprehend pain points for financial institutions and regulators. Saving one shared permanent record on the Blockchain will reduce the need for duplicacy, thus elevating the need for both financial firms and regulators, ultimately which can turn up as tremendous cost saving for the entire industry. It would also expedite the regulatory review process since there would no longer be a need for reconciliation. A business unit can monitor regulatory feeds and update their records based on regulations in the RecordsKeeper Blockchain. Each compliance document is either acknowledged or dismissed based on the regulations. Every approved document is stored in the RecordsKeeper ledger and can be shared and verified when required.

For any high value property (real estate, cars, art) it is important to have accurate records which could identi-fy the owner. These records are used to protect owners' rights, i.e., in case of theft, helps in resolving disputes, makes sure of whether ownership is correctly transferred to a new owner after the sale and helps in preventing sale fraud.

Thus, it is necessary to maintain correctness, as well as completeness of this information to avoid unautho-rized and fraudulent changes.Currently, people have to rely on a trusted third party. For example, a government agency might be responsi-ble for keeping track of ownership information.Sometimes, these records are not preserved in a systematic way. RecordsKeeper solves this problem com-pletely, as it provides a complete way of sanctioning, approving and saving all sorts of asset information which can never be falsified or altered.

Identification documents or licences verification is a tedious but mandatory job for all citizens. These documents can easily be faked, which has a direct impact on a number of government agendas, for example governments are not able to implement health or food policies efficiently due to incorrect data recorded. RecordsKeeper can effectively be used as a solution for this problem, records with proper and unalterable information can be saved over the RecordsKeeper ledger which can be easily accessed when required.

This information is safe with RecordsKeeper as the digest of the document is saved in the ledger which when altered, gets completely changed making the verification process effortless. RecordsKeeper platform aims to significantly reduce the time and resources spent on cross verification of the identification documents.

Data sharing has always been prone to attacks, hackers are always present in a search for ways to hack any data through means of channel diversion or accessing the encrypted transferred data. RecordsKeeper can be used for creating a system which will help in sharing data over the network securely. This system, will encrypt the file with receiver’s public key before sharing. Once the receiver receives the file, they can decrypt it using their private keys. At each stage, the RecordsKeeper will maintain the metadata of the file and keep track of all the changes made in it. Thus, both the parties can verify if a document has been manipulated or not.

Academic certificates can be easily issued and verified using RecordsKeeper ledger. The educational authorities issue a certificate and give the user a receipt which they can share with any third party to prove the authenticity of the certificate. When the third party receives this receipt, they can easily check it’s authenticity on the RecordsKeeper ledger.

RecordsKeeper can help improve the supply chain management in following ways:

Each unit has a set of compliance which needs to be followed. RecordsKeeper, can make sure that complianc-es are being followed, throughout the process. At each unit, the current status of the supply and it’s related compliance is approved and recorded in the ledger by the concerned unit, thus helping in maintaining trans-parency among all units. The RecordsKeeper will maintain copies of receipts, orders or notification etc and will make sure that their integrity is maintained. RecordsKeeper helps you set the rules for recording the data thus you can set the compliance conditions and only when the conditions are meet, RecordsKeeper will allow the user to share the data.

Recording the quantity and transfer of assets - like pallets, trailers, containers, etc. - as they move between supply chain nodesTracking purchase orders, change orders, receipts, shipment notifications, or other trade-related documentsAssigning or verifying certifications or certain properties of physical products; for example determining if a food product is organic or fair tradeLinking physical goods to serial numbers, barcodes, digital tags like RFID, etc.Sharing information about manufacturing process, assembly, delivery, and maintenance of products with suppliers and vendors
