RECOMMENDED PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISORS LIST 2021

One of the course requirements in the Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision is to be attending

monthly professional supervision on your own work and ministry with an approved Professional

Supervisor OR seek approval for a professional supervisor you know or from whom you are currently

receiving professional supervision.

Our Recommended Professional Supervisors are accredited professional supervisors or are eligible to be

accredited or recognised professional supervisors with a relevant professional association.

Professional Supervisors for clinicians.

If you are a counselling or therapy clinician, please ensure you choose a Professional Supervisor who

has a counselling/therapy/social work/psychology background.

Professional Supervisors for pastoral workers.

Whilst most of the professional supervisors listed below would be suitable for supervision in the pastoral

context, those marked with an asterisk (*) have a particular background, experience, interest and/or

training in offering Professional Supervision to pastoral workers.

Choosing a Professional Supervisor – avoiding dual relationships.

Choice of a professional supervisor will be determined to some degree by location and availability and

who you think will be a ‘good fit’. Please also ensure that you don’t choose a professional supervisor who

is too ‘close’ to you e.g., someone who works in your workplace or whom you know as a friend or close

peer. Do not choose one of your course trainers as your professional supervisor while you are on the

training program.

Online professional supervision may not be your best choice for the duration of the course, especially

for those of you who are new to experiencing professional supervision. However, under recent conditions

and for remote workers we recognise this may be the only available option. Please check with your

trainers if Online professional supervision appears to be the only option.
