To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Seth Bryant who was a student in my transfer-level English class at Chabot College during the Spring
2012 semester. Seth also participated in the Daraja Program, a learning community that supports the success and retention of African American students. Seth was always focused and determined to succeed. He
contributed positively to the classroom environment and to the Daraja community as a whole.
First, this is a student who appreciates the value of education and hard work. He consistently worked hard to produce quality writing and refused to settle
for mediocre work. He realized the importance of meeting deadlines and always submitted his assignments on time without sacrificing the quality and
integrity of his writing. As a result, he received high marks on all assignments and consistently performed well on all tasks.
Seth also worked well with his peers. His classmates respected his opinion, especially during class discussions. Over the course of the semester, Seth
developed intellectually and socially. He is a natural leader and role model. During the Fall 2012 semester, he continued to support the educational progress of Chabot students by working as a Student Assistant in the Chabot
College Writing Center. For these reasons and more, I highly recommend Seth for available scholarships or admission to any available academic
programs. You will be pleased with his performance.
