Reciprocal Actions

• Sometimes the reflexive pronouns sese and nosnos are used to express the idea “(to) each other.” these are called reciprocal actions.

• Los novios se abrazaban y se besaban.

• The bride and groom were hugging each other and kissing each other.

Reciprocal Actions

• Por lo general nos saludábamos con un abrazo.

• We usually greeted each other with a hug.

Reciprocal Actions

• También nos dábamos la mano.

• We also would shake hands.

Reciprocal Actions• Se + ellos form of the verb

• Nos + nosotros form of the verb

• If the verb is in the infinitive form the pronoun must agree with the subject.

• Ex: Vamos a abrazarnos.

• We were going to hug each other.
