Project descriptionProject of a wireless terminal for power consumption meters. Main aim was to provide continuous meteringfunctionalities. Embedded communication terminal was responsible for sending data to a web server where alldata was presented in a real-time updated chart. The terminal was connected to the power consumptionmeter via RS232/485 interface and then used GPRS/CSD protocol to transmit collected data.

Area of responsibility- software development, and verification- hardware design of communication terminal

Terminals were programmed with Java midlet software.A dedicated GUI application on the web server was used to configure the terminal’s functionalities, e.g. forwhich IP data should be send, cutting of supply once the bill wasn’t paid, etc.

Project descriptionThe project’s aim was to develop a device for the automotive industry that triggers an „Emergency Call” afterairbags ignition during an accident. The device, together with software, was designed for a large EuropeanAutomotive company. Main aim of the project was to achieve less than 10s delay between the accident andinformation delivery to PSAP call center.Functionalities of the system were based on European Union requirements.Area of responsibility- software design- hardware integration- implementation- tests, including: driver for GPS receiver, VME application executing eCall, real road tests
