FADE IN:

INT. SLUM HOUSE - DAY

WREN (12 years old, blond hair, blue eyes). Sprawled across the floor, riddled with bullet holes.

WREN (V.O.) 5 years ago, I died.

EXT. QUICK CUT - SLUMS

Flurry of punches, blur of motion. A man and woman, their blows coming too fast to make out the particulars.

BACK TO SLUM HOUSE

The CAMERA TRUCKS towards Wren's eyes as her life ebbs away.

WREN (V.O.) It wasn't the KDH virus that took me...

Her eyes close.

EXT. BACK TO SLUMS

The shot is wider here, allowing us to see a crazed-looking ADULT REBOOT and 17-year-old Wren, wearing a black uniform helmet.

WREN (V.O.) ...but it was the virus that brought me back.

Wren punches the Reboot but he recovers quickly, pushing her into a wall with astounding force.

Upon impact, Wren's helmet goes flying--though we don't see her face yet.

WREN (V.O.) When you Reboot you come back stronger, faster, able to heal, but also less emotional. They say the longer you're dead, the less human you are when you return.

INT. MORGUE-LIKE ROOM IN HOSPITAL

The CAMERA remains on 12-year-old Wren's closed eyes.

CU - ON WREN'S EYES (at 12)

They open wide.

MATCH CUT - WREN'S EYES (at 17)

The eyes are the same color, but glow slightly.

WREN (V.O.) I was gone for 178 minutes.

The man tries to punch her but Wren dodges it easily and forces him to the ground (maybe with a kick to the back of the legs).

She slaps hand restraints on him.
