FUN-FUN-FUN!! Everyone at Lakeside not only had a very busy week, but one filled with lots of fun. Monday was a day of decorating and preparing for our residents, friends and family to come join us on Tuesday, August 21st for “National Senior Citi-zens Day”. It was a day of celebration and recognition for all seniors. While we en-joyed our meal, and visited with our friends, Mr. Daniel Williams entertained on the piano. We appreciate every-one that came out to join us and make this a glorious day. A special thanks to Reverend Wilma Pearson for participat-ing and giving the blessing.

We also had a jewelry show in the living room that every-one enjoyed. A very special thanks also goes to the lo-cal merchants who donated gifts to be given away dur-ing the event. We got lots of help from seven of our area Healthcare groups- that set up tables to help our residents and friends to lear n more about what options are avail-able to them.

As wonderful as Tuesday was, our fun did not stop there! We loaded the party bus on Thursday morning and

were off to the Carroll County Fair’s Senior Day. Residents enjoyed going to all the ven-dors to see what goodies they had to give away, played bingo and listened to the different singers and guitar players; as well as winning door prizes. The King and Queen contest was a big hit, and the pretti-est leg contest rated right on up there!

Lakeside residents also had the pleasure of meeting the couple that had been married the longest, 70 years. They said the key to their marriage longevity was living for God every day. There were inspi-rations to all.

Again, thanks to everyone who helped make this a mem-orable week at Lakeside.
