KEY SKILLS

Team Work During the three months I lived in Uganda, I was challenged daily to work within a team of unfamiliar characters. Fortunately we consistently worked successfully in a team environment and this enabled the majority of the teenage boys we taught to pass their exams. These three months built up my ability to see past my own needs and prioritise the needs of the team.

Organisation Over the past two years I have worked on a temporary basis for Huntress Group between studies. This improved my organisation and marketing communication skills.

Social Media My generation is classed as “the social media age”, this gives me an advantage of understanding and using the majority of social media sites such like; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Furthermore in a business sense I have used my ability to promote the University Radio show Incognito, using Twitter and Facebook I upload promotion videos to create a buzz and attract more listeners weekly.

ITThroughout my studies I have used both Windows and Apple software and I am competent with the main Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

VOLUNTARY WORKSeptember 2013 – December 2013

During these 3 months I travelled to Uganda, East Africa. Here I underwent 3 months of teaching 120 teenager boys English skills in preparation for their O-Level exams. This experience massively improved my confidence in public speaking; it also taught me how to be patient in highly stressful situations.

HOBBIES

Incognito Radio – Junction 11

This year I have joined the University Radio team, with music, art and fashion being the main subjects of the show. This outlet allows me to express the creative and passionate side of my personality, while also improving my confidence with public speaking.

Travelling

Over the past three years I have been able to travel Africa, Asian and Europe. Seeing all of these cultures have profoundly changed my view of the world, I now have an enriched value for many different types of cultures, including all the fashion trends that change from city to city.
