Cat STANDARD torsion axles allow up to 2.5” of independent up/down movement to distribute the load and absorb shocks and vibrations. This means you get the smoothest ride, superior load retention, and long-term durability. The competition’s optional leaf spring roller system undercarriage is still hard mounted with 3/4” suspension in the mid roller wheels only, not the entire undercarriage.

Cooling systemAll Cat SSL/MTL/CTL offer a side by side cooling package as STANDARD for optimal cooling to both the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler. This configuration minimizes debris buildup versus competitor’s stacked coolers. The stacked design does not allow for proper air flow to the bottom coolers, increasing the risk of overheating, especially when running work tool attachments.

anti-stallCat STANDARD anti-stall system maximizes machine power at all times by matching the engine torque with the operational requirements, preventing the engine from stalling out under heavy load, even during part throttle operation. The competition does not have this feature, requiring the machine to run at higher RPMs which burns more fuel. This also leaves the engine and other key components vulnerable under heavy loads. This will lead to unnecessary wear and tear, resulting in higher owning and operating costs and less productivity

Cat’s grouped service points, easy service access and individually replaceable and serviceable components reduce machine downtime for increased productivity and lower owning and operating costs. The competition mounts their engine transversely, leaving access to only one side of the engine. This setup requires a belt drive to run the pumps, which is less efficient, and adds a maintenance item to the system.

Cat high quality sealed electrical connectors, Cat ToughGuard™ Hose, and Hydraulic Oil with a 6,000-hour life (vs. 1,000 hrs on the competitor’s machine) stand up to even the toughest jobs and keep you working when it counts and come STANDARD. The competition uses a “hand squeeze” fuel priming pump with no clear bowl on the water separator, which makes some of the more common maintenance items difficult.
