Complete or total hysterectomy: in this surgery, both the uterus and cervix are removed.

Partial or subtotal hysterectomy: also called supracervical hysterectomy, in this type of surgery the upper two-thirds of the uterus are removed, leaving the lower part (cervix) intact.
