Rear Admiral Peter H. Cressy United States Navy REAR ADMIRAL PETER H. CRESSY Rear Admiral Cressy presently serves asCommander, Fleet Air Me- diterranean; Commander, Task Force SIX SEVEN; and Commander, Maritime Air Forces Mediterranean. His previous command tours were patrol Squadron NINE, Moffett Field, California; Patrol Wing FIVE, Brunswick, Maine; and Anti- Submarine Warfare Training Group, Norfolk, Virginia. His other operational tours have been aboard the destroyer USS SAMUEL B. ROBERTS (DD-823); in Patrol Squadron EIGHTEEN, Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico; and in Patrol Squadron FORTY -NINE, Patuxent River, Maryland aboard the aircraft carrier USS CORAL SEA (CV 43). While aboard the USS CORAL SEA, he took part in the Saigon evacuation and Mayequez rescue. His Washington experience includes duty as a Secretary of State Ex- change Officer; Director of Navy Legislative Affairs to the U.S. House of Representatives; Director, Aviation Manpower and Training Division of the Chief ofN aval Operations staff, and Director Total Force Training and Education Policy Division of the Chief of Naval Operations Staff. Rear Admiral Cressy is a 1963 graduate of NROTC at Yale Univer- sity. He graduated with distinction from the Naval War College; holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs from George Washington Uni- versity; an MBA from University of Rhode Island; and a Doctorate in Education from the University of San Francisco. Amongst other awards, he has been awarded the Legion of Merit three times, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal twice, and Humanitarian Service Medal twice. Rear Admiral Cressy was born in St. Augustine, Florida in 1941. He was raised in New England. He is married to the former Sarah Anne Wilson of Norwich, Connecticut. They have two grown children, Rebec- ca, a law student, and Peter, an Ensign in flight training.
