What is ED Manager?• Using ED Manager with RealTime Inpatients the

Trust has a seamless patient flow system from front door to back door.

• RealTime ED Manager is a configuration of RealTime (RT) to support patient flow through the Emergency Department.

• It builds on the proven core feature set of RealTime but adds a new dimension of clinical patient management.

Some core ED Manager features• Configurable interactive whiteboards• ED ‘Flowboard’ – a unique view of the flow of patients against

clinical milestones and targets• Storyboard recording of actions and outcomes through each

stage of clinical care, starting with Triage or RAT, through to disposal

• Automated flow into Inpatients from initial Bed request to assignment of bed to patient

• Formal referral and take on by clinical teams• Integrates RealTime Nursing Obs and EWS• Graphical schematics of ED departments with drag and drop

movement

Releases• The first release of this configuration is designed

to optimise patient flow through ED and core clinical processes such as Triage, RAT and Care Plan.

• The second release extends to full nurse and doctor clinical noting - moving the ED department towards a paperless flow driven system.
