• FONAM prepares the National CDM Portfolio to promote Peruvian Projects inInternational Carbon Fairs.
• FONAM is the Focal Point in Peru of the Carbon Finance of the World Bank.
• FONAM is part of the steering committe of Host Countries of the CarbonFinance represents LAC, and is observer of the Spain Carbon Fund – WorldBank.
• FONAM support to remove barriers and elaborate proposal for develop aadequate legal framework for promotion and implementation of CDM projectsand works CDM Capacity building.
• FONAM promotes MOUs with different Countries such as Germany, Canada,Austria, in order to work together CDM peruvian developers with potentialbuyers

Peru has participated in Carbon Expo 2008, with anupdated CDM Project Portfolio, a Booth and a NationalDelegation of peruvian enterprises to keep the status ofone of the most importants CDM Host Countries .

• Government sectors are aware of the importance ofCDM– Facilitating the information process, with statistics, specific
studies, for the required information to indentified and developCDM documents;
– Develop the CDM framework as a promoting tool for newinvestments and include climate change into national policies.
– Develop incentives for make peruvian investment opportunitiesmore attractive.
Market trends & capacity development needs
Achievements• 8000 stakeholders from private and public sector was
inform and trained about CDM continuously, not onlyfrom Peru but also from other Latin-American andCaribbean countries.
• As a result from the training and workshops 126 CDMprojects were identified with 15 MM tons of CO2 andUS$ 6300 MM on investments and also a network ofprivate and public stakeholders were identified nationwide: developers, enterprises, consultants, banks anduniversities, consolidating the carbon market in Peru.
