Respiratory infections are common causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, requiring different treatments if they are induced by viruses or bacteria. Symptoms of respiratory infections are similar, non-specific, and not sufficient to clearly identify the causative agent. Molecular methods are the most efficient solutions to identify the right pathogen and provide an adapted patient treatment.

Respiratory Viral ELITe MGB® Panel & Respiratory Bacterial ELITe MGB® Panel are two multiplex real-time PCR assays for the detection of Influenza A, Influenza B, Respiratory Syncytial Virus and Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila. In combination with ELITe InGenius, ELITechGroup’s fully automated sample to-result solution, these focused panels enable the laboratories to accurately detect the main respiratory pathogens.
