OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS Our Lady of the Angels is back from Thanksgiving break and gearing up for the excitement of Christmas!  So many exciting  things  happening and  so  little  time!  Before  you know it we’ll be celebrating St. Nicholas Day, shopping at Christmas  Shoppes  and  performing  our  very  own Preschool  Christmas  play  right  here  at  St.  Peter’s.   We also  welcome  you  to  join  us  for  our  school-wide Christmas Pageant held at Holy Trinity Church on Friday, December  16,  2016,  at  1:00  and  7:00  pm.   As  the  Fall weather of November slips away into the wintery weather of December, OLA wishes you many Blessings and days full of laughter and peace.

An  Advent  Celebration  in  Honor  of  Our  Lady  of Guadalupe  -  The Catholic community  of  the Diocese  of Harrisburg  comes  together  in  prayer  as  we  celebrate  the Feast  of  Our  Lady  of  Guadalupe  on  Saturday  December 10,  2016  at  5:00  PM  at  the  Cardinal  Keeler  Center  in Harrisburg,  PA.  Celebration  includes  folkloric  dance, crafts  for  children,  the  musical  “La  Morenita”  and  much more.  Registration Fee: $10 per person or $30 group of 4. Seats are limited. Register now by emailing Jaclyn Curran at  [email protected]  or  visiting www.hbgdiocese.org/hispanicministry.

THE  MOST  REVEREND  RONALD  GAINER,  D.D, J.C.L.,  Bishop  of  Harrisburg,  will  celebrate  Mass  at  St. Anthony  of  Padua  Church  on  Dec.  1,  9:30  a.m.  The  Mass takes  place  on  a  Thursday  to  include  the  students  of Resurrection Catholic School, located next to St. Anthony’s. The  school  observes  its  25th  anniversary  this  year.  A reception will be held in  the school following the Mass. All are welcome.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS The Knights of Columbus are having their Annual Children’s Christmas  Party at  the Council Home on  Friday, December 2th  from  6-8pm.   Food  and  beverages  will  be provided.  Please RSVP to Luke Parrish at 818-8776 or via email at [email protected] by November 27th.

“Usher  in  the Christmas  season by attending  the “Light Up for Christ” program sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Festivities include lighting of  the Nativity Scene, Christmas carols,  and  light  refreshments afterwards. The  program  will be  held  outside  the  council  home  (4th  and  Maple  St)  on Tuesday, Dec. 6th at 7:30pm. Non-perishable food items and donations will be accepted for the local food bank.” PLENTY TO BE THANKFUL FOR…

As we begin this Advent Season, let us not forget what the Season  is  all  about.  Thank  you  to  all  who  sent  in  or brought  in  donations  for  TMIY  and  your  Parish.    Thank you to all who helped in the past and now, who have kept our  Parish  alive  and  well  and  our  Church  Building standing and  visible. Now  is  the  time  to  sacrifice  in new and creative ways.  The Enemy is hard at work to destroy our Marriages, our Families, and our Souls.  We must and will fight till we can fight no more forever. Amen.
