Earn a “Brag Tag” for different amounts of words read:

25,000 — 50,000 — 75,000 —100,000 — 250,000 — 500,000 —

Earn a “Brag Tag” to show that you are a member of the MILLION WORD CLUB

Golden Ticket

When the students check out a book,

they will look inside to see if they have

found the following ticket:

Golden Ticket will be in a book that

has not been checked out in awhile

Emerald Ticket will be in a brand

new book

Ruby Ticket will be in a non-fiction

book that has not been checked

out in awhile

Sapphire Ticket will be in a picture

book that has not been checked

out in awhile

When a ticket is found, students will

spin the wheel to earn a prize

Your challenge is to read ALL 15

SSYRA Books (Grades 3-5) or ALL

SSYRA Jr. Books (Grades K-2)

Earn a “Brag Tag” for each book

read

Books can be read to you OR by

you

Check out one SSR at a time

Successfully pass an RC quiz (70%

or higher)

Vote for your favorite book on

March 25 (must have read 3 to be

eligible to vote)

Read ALL 15 books qualifies you

for a trip to Barnes and Noble

(Grades 3-5)

Read ALL 15 books qualifies you

for an invitation to a party in the

Media Center (Grades K-2)

Invitation to be on the VES News

Picture displayed in the Media

Center

Eligible to participate in the

“Battle of the Books” to be held in

May

Live chats with the authors

Students who select a book that does not

have a Reading Counts test will receive a

Superhero Bonus Card. Once they have

read 5 books that do not have an RC test,

they will:

Receive an invitation to be on the

news

Have their picture displayed in the

library

Invitation to a party at the end of the

year
