TitleThis film is a sequel to 21 jump street which was a very well known and popular movie. The title is bold and eye-catching to the audience but comes up after a short opening scene. The title is in the same colours as the movie before (21 jump street) the colours of the title also represents police colours ( red, blue with glowing around it like sirens of police car ) which gives off a little hint about the film.The movie is called this because it is a big part of the movie as it is the name of the place they are sent to on the second undercover mission

Genre

This film has a very interesting genre to it. Its mixed between crime/comedy/action which all fits well together. The genre is very important as its what the movie is based around and the genre is what pulls in the audience and the bigger audience the bigger the film will be which will lead to sequels and a target audience also benefits the production company and the actors.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller- Philip A. "Phil" Lord (born July 12, 1975) and Christopher Robert Miller (born September 23, 1975) are American film and television writers, producers, directors, actors and animators.

They are well know as directors and have directed many movies together in the past they are also known for having their own production company together.

• The target audience is mainly teens as it’s a 15 age ratted movie and it would also appeal to people who like more of an adult humour also people who like the first film or action-comedy

Lead actors

Jonah Hill- Jonah Hill Feldstein (born December 20, 1983), better known as Jonah Hill, is an American actor, writer, producer and comedian.

Channing Tatum- Channing Matthew Tatum (born April 26, 1980) is an American actor, film producer, dancer, and model.

They are very good friends on and off set and are like brothers. They have both been in many movies for their career

CinematographyCamera shot types and angles-

- they use a mid shot first to show the characters and uses a side angle that pans around the car and characters to show what's going on.

- they use a establishing shot to show you where it is set and uses a high angle to show the city.

- Close up to show the tension/atmosphere they use a eye level angle to really show their facial expressions.

Cinematography

They use a lot of panning out from the characters to change the scene they also use truck movement to move around the subject to show the whole perspective of them and what they are doing and the setting. This is effective as it shows the bit of the storyline which makes the audience more interested and excited to watch the sequel.

There aren't really any transitions in this scene apart from when the title of the film twists and wipes the screen to the next shot. this is effective for cliff-hangers to keep the audience entertained.

Sound Diegetic sound:

They have the sounds of the guns being loaded when they are practising their techniques and what they are going to do. You also have the sound of the car engine revving as they drive and park up. They have included funny comments to make it humorous and to take always from the seriousness to show it is a comedy/action film.

Non Diegetic Sound:

Narrator at the beginning speaking in a low powerful voice.Sad music during the flash back. Adventurous music throughout the rest of the opening scene however they use a well known song when they start their mission which has a hype tune to the song.They use a “swoosh” sound when the camera pans out and rotates around the setting.

Set:

The first part of the movie is set on a rooftop of a car park overlooking the city, this makes them seem powerful because they are looking over the city. It was set at sun rise/sun set

Lighting:

They use natural lighting from outside to set the scene a bit more to make it more real and not as fake or scripted.

They position the camera so they get the sun coming through the buildings to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere which sets the mood of the scene which also fits with the background music

Costumes:

They are dressed as casual young adult men they are wearing jeans with a buttoned shirt. It shows when this movie was made because of the fashion. They look smart crossed with casual to suit their age which makes the film more realistic.

There isn't any make up in the opening scene as they have not had to dress in disguise yet but further on in the movie they have to go undercover so they have to be in disguise so their cover doesn’t get blown

Props:

They are leaning against on their ‘retro-sporty’ car with a case full of guns in the boot of the car hinting a bit about what the movie is based on. They also use guns for their job this is effective because it brings out the genre of the film.

Acting/dialogue:

They start of with them listening to an ‘online college’ professor trying to get clues for their investigation. They then talk about what they are doing (casual conversation). Then as they start to prepare one of them makes a funny comment.
