READER PROFILEAmy is 16 years old and is living in York. Her greatest passion is music; she at least spends 75% of her time with earphones in. Her favourite genre of music is pop, but she also likes most other genres of music. Amy was brought up in a musical family which has influenced her taste in a variety of genres. Amy usually uses apps such as Spotify, Soundcloud and YouTube to download her music because here you can also find different versions of her favourite songs as well as the original single. Music is Amy’s life, and if she could she would attend EVERY gig possible. She has a part time job on weekends that allows Amy to buy tickets to her favourite concerts and gigs. In her spare time, Amy would choose to either save her money for a gig or concert or buy CD’s or records for her collection. Amy isn’t a typical girl, which means she doesn’t spend all her money on clothes and makeup. She would much rather be sensible with her money and make memories from it at gigs or concerts. AMY LOVES NOTHING MORE THAN MUSIC. She is always on topic when it comes to music, and Amy would always know the answer to a music related question. Her number one hobby is playing the guitar which she hopes to pursue as a career one day. Amy loves to sit in her room and play the guitar with her favourite songs on in the background. Amy has been playing the guitar for as far as she can remember which makes her a very talented guitar player even though she is only 16 years old. Her dad also plays the guitar so maybe Amy has musical genes. WITHOUT MUSIC, AMY WOULD BE LOST. Amy’s musical idol is Ed Sheeran who also plays the guitar. One day she aims to be as successful as him in life. Even though this is a huge life goal, Amy is a very determined, confident girl who never gives up on something she believes in. She isn’t afraid of new experiences and is always willing to try new things. With this attitude towards life, her friends and family say that she can be whoever she wants to be in life.
