Creation Studio Drop-In Mondays, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., The Creation Studio Jan. 13 - Balloon Animals - Learn the basic skills of creating balloon animals, and make your own balloon dog. Jan. 20 - Strawbees - Construct and build using straws and plastic connectors made from recycled folders. You can use instructions to build something specific or use your imagination to construct your own unique creation. Jan. 27 - Super Bowl Prep: Paper Footballs & Straw Goalposts - We will fold and decorate paper footballs and create goalposts from bendy straws. This is guaranteed to be the best halftime entertainment for the big game. Challenge your children, parents, and friends to see who can score the most field goals before the halftime show is over. Feb. 3 - Paper Fortune Cookies – Make your own DIY Paper Fortune Cookie! Good fortunes abound in this crafty Creation Studio Drop In! We will creatively fold paper, complete with a fortune. This makes a great party favor or gift! Feb. 10 - Striped Origami Heart Garland – These striped hearts are quick and easy to fold—a string of them is a great way to get your space ready for Valentine’s Day.

Winter Carnival Saturday, February 1, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Family Fun in Bettendorf! Activities throughout the City, including the Library, for all ages! All activities are free!

Tip: The color black works best for this trick. Participants need to read at least 360 minutes to complete the program. If you read 30 minutes a day, you should complete your optical illusion in less than three weeks. Of course, you can read more if you would like! After completing 360 minutes, bring your log to the library to receive your reading award and completion certificate. The final day is Saturday, February 15.
