CUSTOM DESIGN

Ready Design swimwear is our ready-to-go collection of swimwear designs. Choose the pieces you like, put your brand on them – and they’re ready to sell! Each year we conduct extensive research on what bikinis and swimsuits are in, what’s out, and what the upcoming trends are for the season ahead. From what we create a collection of styles – both on trend and re-worked classics.

In our 2019 range we have 20 bikinis and 11 swimsuits. You can mix and match tops and bottoms between any styles. You could even combine them with your custom designs to flesh out your swim line. All styles are available in our full range of fabrics, in all colors and in any print. There are no development costs with ready design. You only pay per piece. It’s the quickest, simplest and most affordable method to manufacture a swimwear label.

Custom Design is where your ideas shine! For us to develop your dream swimsuit and bikini we want to understand your ideas clearly. Ideally this means complete tech specs + patterns or samples of what you want to develop. But since we also work with non-designers we are definitely flexible. We have example templates (which we call sample specs) with clear instructions of how to start and what we need from you. This could include pictures of products you like with notes on any adjustments.

Extra notes:Feel free to take design inspiration from our ready design ranges – taking parts from one design and adding to another or combining them with your own ideas. You could even adjust cuts/coverage or add new details to the ready pieces. It’s also possible to split your collection and have some custom design styles and some ready design styles. This saves on development costs and time and is a unique feature very few swimwear manufacturers offer.

In the example above a US$10 top costs US$10 at a medium volume (500-999) bulk order. If the same top would be ordered but the total order is 1000pcs+ - then we would offer discounts and the top costs less. If the order however was smaller than 500pcs, then it would cost more. Our pricing strategy reflect the need of both a startup and established brand.

DO YOU MAKE: YOGA PANTS, ACTIVEWEAR, MEN’S SWIM?We are currently developing a collection of ready design female activewear: sport bras and tops, yoga pants and shorts. Also, we are developing a small ready design men’s swim range. We aim to launch early 2019.

Until then, we do not offer these types.

When launched, you can use these additional items to reach our MOQ.

Example: MOQ 500pcs = 400 pcs female swimwear + 100 pcs yoga pants or 300 pcs female swim + 200 pcs male swim.

DO YOU MAKE: LINGERIE/INTIMATES?No.

DO YOU WORK WITH: SILK, SATIN, LACE, NEOPRENE?No.

HOW LONG - TO DEVELOP A PERFECT SAMPLE (CUSTOM DESIGN)?1-3 months (2-4 rounds) depending on complexity of the styles you are developing and clarity of your tech specs. Included in first sample fee is 1 revision - so that’s 2 rounds already. Additional rounds are charged. Expect 1 or 2 sample fees per sample to finalize the fit.

HOW MUCH - TO DEVELOP A PERFECT SAMPLE (CUSTOM DESIGN)?About US$150-200 to have it all finished from A-Z (pattern making, grading, sampling). For more details and examples, read our budgeting article.

IS BULK PRODUCTION A MUST IF I SAMPLE? No. There’s no obligation to produce bulk even if you sample with us. You also own your patterns that we develop.

IS YOUR PRODUCTION ETHICAL? SUSTAINABLE? It’s always ethical, and is sustainable when possible. Read more on how in our blog post ‘Always Ethical Swimwear Manufacturing’.

CAN WE VISIT YOU IN BALI? Of course. We have our factory, office and sample room at our main HQ in Canggu. It’s 15min from Seminyak, and is the place to be at the moment - full of trendy cafes, hip beach clubs, stunning villas and so on. We can give you some tips. Welcome!

PRINTSWe require no minumum order on prints.

You can print on Carvico VITA, Bali Swim Lycra or Corduroy and the result is stunning. The prints are made on a special polyester version made for print, which has a slightly different hand-feel to the nylon-based colors. This method keeps the colors permanently and the print is very vibrant and crisp.

We do all our prints in Bali.

PRINT STRIKES & MOCK UPFor all prints we offer a print strike & mock-up service (US$25/print), where send digital mockups for approval then trial-print a 30x30cm swatch to send you - so that you can eye the quality of print, color match and also dimensions of it.

HIGH-RESFor fabric prints the digital print file (artwork) must be high-resolution (300dpi+) to print well. It can be a vector, JPG, PNG, TIFF or any other format - as long as the file is high-res.

SEAMLESSArtwork should be seamless or set up repeat which simply means that you can put copies of the print next to it in each direction so that it matches up without any interuption in the pattern. If it’s not repeatable initially, you can sometimes mirror the image four ways, and thus create the same effect. We can assist you with this feature.

SCALELastly, the scale of your print is key - as example, you have an artwork/pattern of starfish - what’s the height of each starfish? The difference between a small cute 3cm starfish and large 15cm starfish will make a difference on your end-result.

Your product is not complete without it’s packaging, (labels, hang tags, hygiene stickers and bags). All are optional and we have no MOQs on any. If you have sourced your own packaging we can help to apply and package your final products in those if delivered to us in time.

On the next pages we display some options and ready shapes for you to use. Packaging development costs US$10 and includes layout of logo/tagline/website on packaging option, mock-up for approval and actual sample.
