Conference Overview This conference is designed to demonstrate the valuable role of fathers and fatherhood to our present and future generations. While fathers are often devalued and portrayed in a negative light, a number of fathers are fathering the right way. Regardless of the path some fathers have gotten to fatherhood, their roles as father is essential for healthy families, strong communities and a better world. The uniqueness of the conference centers on all attendees being focused on how to reverse the negative look at fatherhood. The message is targeted at:

• Fathers who are bringing their unique contributions to the job of parenting their child(ren); • Staff providing services to fathers/men while striving to meet their needs and those of their

families; • Policymakers and advocates working to enhance the rights of fathers being part of their

child(ren)'s lives; • All persons interested in seeing the positive results of fathering advanced as supported by current

research.

National speakers and professionals will present and facilitate accurate and insightful information on the importance of fathers and fathering that elevates, enlightens and equips men, women, service providers, community leaders and other stakeholders towards an improved paradigm on Fatherhood.

Attendees Those attending the conference will participate in engaging presentations, discussions, workshops and fun activities aimed at affirming fathers in fathering. Because sports are important to most men, the conference uses a sports theme as the backdrop with the attendees wearing their favorite sports attire creating a complementing atmosphere.
