Reaching Consumers in Emerging Markets
The objectives of the Conference are: To provide a platform where marketing practitioners and academicians share and discuss the
contemporary marketing issues and challenges in the changing consumer context in emerging
economies.
To share scholarly research on emerging opportunities and threats in the changing market context in
emerging economies.
To analyze and understand the underlying behavioral changes among consumer communities leading
to the emergence of more demanding and savvy customers in emerging economies.

CONFERENCE TRACKS
Extended abstracts not exceeding 1000 words and maximum 2000 words should be e-mailed in Microsoft Word
format to the Conference Co-ordination Committee, not later than August 31, 2016 at [email protected].
The author(s) should clearly mention under what track of the conference the abstract is to be included. All
abstracts will be blind reviewed and only those approved by the reviewers will be selected. Authors will be notified
of acceptance of their submission by September 15, 2016. Selection of papers for presentation will be based on
the quality of abstracts. Submitted abstracts must include a clear indication of the research objective(s), research
methodology employed, major results, managerial implications, and key references. The revised abstracts must
be submitted by November 30, 2016 for inclusion in digital conference proceedings.
GUIDELINES FOR EXTENDED ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Length Minimum of 1000 words; Max. of 2000 words (including title and key references)
Margins 2.5 cm or 1 inch throughout (left, right, top, and bottom)
Orientation Portrait
Font Times New Roman, 12 point
Line spacing 1.5 lines (for the main text of extended abstract) & Single (for key references)

Key words Not required
References Limit to a maximum of 12
Best Paper Award will be given to recognize the outstanding contribution in the field of marketing in
emerging economies. The paper should clearly emphasize on the theme of the conference.
Only the extended abstracts are published in the Conference Proceedings. Authors of selected papers will be encouraged to submit their papers for publication consideration directly to special/regular issues of internationally acclaimed marketing journals. Presenters will be told to submit papers through the journal online system. All these submissions will go through the normal review process of Journal. A detailed list of journals will be updated soon.

Case Teaching and Case Development
About the Pre Conference workshop:
The Pre-conference workshop is scheduled for January 5, 2017 at IIM Lucknow Noida campus. The purpose
of this workshop is to provide faculty and doctoral students with an introduction to the case teaching
method and the writing of business cases for teaching purposes. At the end of the workshop participants
will be familiar with the rationale for using cases, different types of cases, different types of class plans
using cases, managing a case discussion, board plans for cases, and the use of video cases, as well as a
brief introduction to the process for case development and writing, and the publication of cases. The
