SEDEX 34 Rural Development Project ReportIn accordance with the 2nd Rural Development Project (RDP) held 26th June 2014 by Science and Engineering Design Exhibition 33 (SEDEX 33) team, 3rd RDP, entitled Rural Development Project : Be Responsible, Think Sustainable was held again this year by our SEDEX 34 Team. RDP is a kind of Youth Social Responsibility, its objective : to reach out to students in rural areas and exposed to them how learning can be achieved the fun way. With it, we hope the students will have their own aspirations of their future, including further their studies at tertiary level.Our 3rd RDP was held in an outlying school named SK Seri Tanjung located in Kampung Tonggang, Perak on the 8th November 2014 (Saturday). There were only Primary 3 to Primary 6 students (aged from 9 to 12) were selected to participate, which were exactly 50 students.The program was deemed to be most impactful to those who are about to take UPSR.The event was officiated by the Headmaster of SK Seri Tanjung, Cikgu Razali bin Basirun, in the presence of Penolong Kanan Hal Ehwal Murid, Pn Zaiza binti Zainal, Tok Batin Kampung Tonggang, Encik Che Wan bin Alang and also Siew Hzien Hung, Project Director 1 of RDP. Also present in the ceremony are the high committees and the committees of SEDEX 34.

The purpose of RDP is to inspire the students to have ambition in their life. For that, SEDEX 34 committees came up with activities to fuel such ambitions. Students were given lots of activities than span throughout the day, such as ambition pledges and builiding a futuristic vehicle models. Team work activites such as Penny Chinny, 'Fill the Bottle' and other science activities were carried out too.
