DESIGN FEATURES : Extractor autoclave: The extraction autoclave is a stainless steel vessel with full opening at the top and a single screw type lid. The lid is manufactured in 2 parts and is supplied with special lip seal allowing closing without tool. The thread is coated on the surface to prevent damaging the threads and crippling the lid in the vessel allowing intense use. The autoclave is supplied with a basket used to store the solid material to be extracted. It consists in a stainless steel tube closed by 2 filtering disks. As the basket is sealed around vessel wall, the CO2 is forced to percolate through the feed. A safety system prevent pressure accumulation inside the basket. When processing liquid feed, the basket can be filled with mass transfer packing and the liquid is filled in the basket. For each specific application, TOP INDUSTRIE can advise on the most suitable way to prepare the feed and the best way to contact the feed with the solvent to optimize the extraction. The vessel is heated on the side, with electrical resistance equipped with both temperature control and safety temperature probe. The temperature rating is usually set for CO2 extraction, but it can also be set so that subcritical water can be used as an option. Extraction cell volumn : from 25 to 500 mL. R&D UNIT This system is particularly adapted for applications where small quantities of products are available like supercritical fluid extraction for R&D and educational purposes. It can be used to determine the solubility of your products with all the main eco friendly solvents, exploring a very wide range of polarities and allows extracting almost most of the solutes from your material. It is a great tool for research laboratories or for numerous industrial needs. It is the ideal system to rapidly screen different solvents and over a wide range of processing conditions, collect small samples of extracts for analysis and characterisation. This system has a small footprint and can be easily contained and placed in confined environments, e.g. when working with harmful or toxic products. DESIGN FEATURES :

• Pumps:CO2 pump:‐ Equipped with jacketed head(s) and cooler before the pump heads, it can be used for coolingand pumping CO2 with an optimal performance. Top Industrie pumps have supreme reliability atminimum maintenance and low operation costs.

‐ Flow rate is automatically controlled with a frequency drive and an integrated controllerplaced on the pump. Closed loop flow rate control can also be configured using a Coriolis effect massflow‐meter.

­ HP Flow pump : flow rate from 0 to 100 mL/min of water or 0 to 50g/min for C02.

Co solvent HPLC Flow pump : flow rate from 0 to 25 mL/min.

• Cold and heat exchangers:‐ Condenser: The condenser is put on the line before the CO2 pomp. It allows to liquefy thegaseous CO2 coming from CO2 make up or after recycling. It is cooled by a propylene glycol /watermixture.

‐ Heater: The electrical heater allows to heat the solvent after the pump at the adequatetemperature. It is independently heated from the extractor for an optimum versatility.

• Separators:TOP INDUSTRIE is supplying high pressure / high performance separators allowing an efficient solvent /extract separation with good control of the flow pattern in the separation vessel.With a full and easy opening, it also efficient cleaning to save time and limit cross contaminationbetween batches or between products.

OPERATION:The unit is controlled by an operator from a control box where temperature PID controllers, pressureand temperature indicators are displayed.Back pressure regulators control extraction and separator pressures.Flow rates are controlled on the pumps.Process configuration valves are manually operated directly on the equipment. Control from the PC ofall process parameters and data logging is available in option.

— FOR R&D PURPOSES :•GREEN LAB 100:Extractor : total volume 100mL, maximum service pressure 600 bars, service temperature 150°C.Separator : volume 100mL, maximum service pressure 100 bars, service temperature 100°C.C02 pump : 0 to 50 g/ min.

•GREEN LAB 200:Extractor : total volume 200mL, maximum service pressure 600 bars, service temperature 150°C.Separator : volume 200mL, maximum service pressure 100 bars, maximum service temperature 100°C.CO2 pump : 0 to 100 g/min.

•GREEN LAB 500:Extractor : total volume 500mL, maximum service pressure 600 bars, service temperature 150°C.Two separators : volume 500mL, maximum service pressure 100 bars, maximum service temperature100°C.CO2 pump : 0 to 200 g/min.

In the same equipment and pressure vessel, it is possible to place: 25, 50 or 250 mL extraction cells.

OPTIONS FOR ALL SYSTEMS :‐ Other pressure are possible (400‐1000 bar)‐ Co‐solvent pump‐ CO2 recycling line with CO2 condenser‐ Second extractor for other processes like extract fractionation­ Addition of a visualization cell

Our autoclave sizes and equipments can be taylor‐ made according to your needs and technicalrequirements.The system can also be used with subcritical water by running the extractor at higher temperature.
