2012-13 begin year to build Peace through Service

The clubs 7th charter anniversary was commemorated

last June 29, 2012 with the presence of past, present

and future officers of Rotary International District 3780,

Rotarians and guests. The event was highlighted by the

handover of club leadership and the installation of

Marcia Salvador as president for Rotary Year 2012-13.

The directors, officers and committee chairs for RY 2012

-2013 led by Peace President Marcia Salvador were in-

ducted into office by RY 2012-13 District Governor

Penny Policarpio III.

Keynote speaker of the evening was RY 2011-12 District G

ernor Jess Cifra who delivered an inspiring, touching mess

on teamwork. Holy Spirit officers and members had been dbly honoured by the presence of Spouse Helen who came w

Gov Jess.

Holy Spirit Interactor Michelle Mae Estenzo rendered a bea

ful song number while RCHS members performed two liv

dance presentations joined in by Sofie Salvador, grandchil

FG Ric and President Marcia Salvador.

Emcee for the night was the lovely Rtn Joy Flores.

Holy Spirit celebrates new Rotary Year with 57 SPED children and their parents

July 2, 2012 was a special day for 57 pu-

pils of the SPED Center of Dona Juana Ele-

mentary School, their parents and teachers

as RC Holy Spirit and the Interact Club of

Holy Spirit National High School celebrated

the new Rotary Year with a childrens party

held in one of the schools function rooms.

SPEDis the education of children with spe-cial needs due to various disabilities: hear-

ing impairment, mental retardation, au-

tism, developmental disorder like ADHD

(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

The SPED Center is handled by four dedi-

cated teachers led by Mrs Gloria C Tatad.

It was truly a fun-filled party for the children

as they watched a clown/magician perform

magic tricks and balloon-making skills, with

a little lesson on colours and numbers.

Officers of the Interact Club performed alively impromptu dance number to the de-

light of the children and Rotarians present.

snacks.

It was indeed a festive celebration of t

new Rotary Year, signalling the start of a

other year of service to the commun

particularly the youth.

Dear Fellow Rotarians!!

Congratulations to the Rotary Club ofHoly Spirit on the occasion of the 7th

Charter Anniversary and Turnover with

Induction Ceremonies.

I am Park Kwan Rai, President RY 2012-2013 of Rotary

Club of Seoul Onnuri. First of all, It is my distinct honor

and privilege to congratulate President Marcia Salvador

and the officers and all members.

I really am thankful and respect your club for the very e

thusiastic welcome program you served us during our

visit to Philippines last year. I always think about yourclub members (Mr. Condeno, Mr. Osabel, Mrs. Emelind

Mr. Leonides, Mr. and Mrs Ricardo, Dr. Belleza, Dr. Jung

Eui Bong, Mr. Kim In Il, Mr. Kim Jong Myeong...) for their

noble spirit of Rotarian. I also appreciate meeting DG

Jose Francisco Cifra and PDG Danilo V. Fausto.

Last June 25, 2012 we had a party in my church to cele

brate participation of US army and Philippines soldiers i

the Korean War. Like this Korea and Philippines have

"blood-tied" alliance and I will try to do my best to our re

lationship so it will grow on and on. Let us work togethe

as a team to make dreams real to share Rotary and fel-

lowship.

Again, my heartfelt congratulations to officers and mem

bers of Rotary Year 2012-2013 of the Rotary Club of Ho

Spirit led by President Marcia Salvador.
