RC Holy Spirit extends relief aid to fire victims in BarangayHoly Spirit

Responding to the need for relief of twenty-five

(25) poor families residing on a 686 square me-

ter lot along Don Carlos Street within Don Anto-

nio Heights whose houses were razed by fire

last March 17, 2012, RC Holy Spirit solicited

donations from club members and friends. Two

hundred (200) tin cans of sardines and as-

sorted used clothes were turned over to Mr Ed-

gar Donaire, President of the Don CarlosNeighbourhood Association, by club President

Ped Condeno, Treasurer Marcia Salvador, a

Dona Juana Elementary School cites RCHS for its support to school progra

During the school-wide Recognition Program held

at the Dona Juana Elementary School (DJES) in

Barangay Holy Spirit on March 30, 2012, the Ro-

tary Club of Holy Spirit was awarded certificates of

recognition for its support and contribution to theschools programs and activities for school year

2011-2012. In particular, DJES cited RCHSs

sponsorship of a back-to-school party for the

schools SPED pupils last July 1, 2011, and the

conduct of a free fluoride application and dental

care education program for all 335 kindergarten

pupils in the school last November 9, 2011. PE

Marcia Salvador received the two (2) certificates

of recognition in behalf of RCHS.

1st Governor Jess Cifra Chess Cup is successfully mounted

Organized by RC Holy Spirit for Interactors,

Rotaractors, Rotarians and their families,

the 1st DG Jess Cifra Chess Cup was held

last March 31, 2012 at the 3rd Floor of the

Rotary Center Building. Nineteen players

came to compete in the tournament.

Games were played under the 7-Round

Swiss System.

The tournament was conducted with the

unequivocal support of Asias 1st Chess

Grandmaster PP Eugene Torre who, in his

inspirational speech, likened chess-playing

to real life with the application of The 4-w

Test. DS Jesse Tanchanco greeted all

players in behalf of DG Jess Cifra.

Nepomuceno and Kent Valderrama treated all to an

enjoyable fellowship party on March 28, 2012. It

was held at the lovely garden owned by the family

of Rtn Marites located in the Don Enrique Heights

subdivision.

Everybody enjoyed the delectable dishes, especially

he famous Pepetons kapalmuks and a variety of

mouth-watering dessert treats. CP Nides Respicioprovided entertainment with his harmonica rendi-

ion of old tunes. Messrs Alfonso Nepomuceno and

Ato Santos, past president and current president,

espectively, of the Don Enrique Heights Homeown-

ers Association, graced the occasion. It was one

great fellowship night! Too bad, celebrator Kent

Valderrama couldnt make it due to his sons birth-

day celebration that night.

In another partnership project with the Don Antonio Heights Homeowners Association and the Bureau o

mal Industry, RC Holy Spirit is coordinating the conduct of this years free anti-rabies vaccination proje

April 28, 2012 in six (6) vaccination centers within the Don Antonio Heights subdivision. The activity w

held from 8:00 AM until 11:30 AM. The project aims to benefit up to 1000 dogs & cats and their ow

within Don Antonio Heights and surrounding areas in Barangay Holy Spirit. A team of 11 veterinarian

been contacted to administer the vaccine shots . To assist in the registration of the animals in the d

nated vaccination centers are members of the Interact Club of Holy Spirit National High School and the

ract Club of Holy Spirit.

A coordination meeting has been scheduled by PE Marcia Salvador on April 12, 2012 with DAHHA dire

o discuss the responsibilities/assignments of each participating organization.

951-2661) to pre-register your pets.

While the vaccination centers shall be located within Don Antonio Heights for convenience, residents of neighboring vil

The Object of RotaryFirst formulated in 1910, the Object of Rotary is to encourage and
