In 1925 Lala Juggilal, Lala Kamalapati Singhania took over Raymond mills

In 1944 the grandson of Lala Juggilal,Lala Kailashpat Singhania took over Raymond mills, the mill primarily made cheap and coarse woollen blankets, and modest quantities of low priced woollen Fabrics.

In 1958 setup its first exclusive showroom .

In 1968 setup a readymade garments plant in thane

In 1980 vijaypat singania. Took over the reins of the company.

In 1986 launched “Park Avenue”, the premium lifestyle brand .

In 1990 opened first showroom abroad for raymond in Oman.

In 1991 setup a new manufacturing facility in chhindawara near nagpur.

In 2000 Vijaypat singania retired and Gautam hari singania took over the business.

In 2006 launched kids wear ZAPP! With first brand store in Ahmedabad.

In 2007 joint venture to retails premium brand “GAS” in India.

Raymond limited is a leading textile and apparel company of Revenue of 1500 crores .

Mr Gautam Hari Singhania is the Chairman and Managing Director of the Company. The promoters have about 35 percent of the equity holding in the company, while institutional investors have approximately 40 percent and individuals hold about 20 percent of the equity.

With over 60% of market share in India . It provides nearly 12,000 varieties of worsted suiting to cater to customers across age groups, occasions and styles.

specialized fabric like Smart Fabrics, Specialized treatments etc.. THREATS • Almost all the major players in the industry are competing with each other not

only on the basis of lower prices but also on better quality..• Increasing Social and Ecological awareness is likely to result in increased

pressure on the company to follow international labour and environmental laws.
