Rational paper

This is a rational paper for my photo essay, in this rational paper i will talking about how

i made my topic for the photo essay and the reason why i choose each photo also how i

doing the design of this photo essay.

This is my fresh man year, as a student come from different culture background its really

hard for me to get involve this America college life. Basically , my first semester is

boring and normal. I just go to school and back to my dorm. So it’s really hard to me

find out a topic which can bring a different purdue to reader so I choose to write my first

vision about purdue.

Since I was lack of story, I think doing a essay about my first trip at purdue might be a

good ide.

Each photo I choose where represent the place I’ve been that day, when I try to

choose a photo for my dorm, I was try to find something special not a simple picture of

dorm, so I decided choose a photo of a signal of my dorm. In a person who is first time be

here “welcome to Caryquardrangle” is really good.

For editing the photo essay, most of my photo are huge and good quality, so I try to

not make any background color, I use the photo it self to be the background. While I

doing the part about ARMS, I got 2 pictures I try to make it provides more details to my

reader, so I make 2 photo together , the photo at top provide whole body of neil amstrong,

the photo under it provide the ARMS building.

Each photo I choose where all taken by me in summer days, because the sunlight the

photo is look bright ,so I use photoshop change all of these photo in to good color ,for

the first picture , the original picture is dark, because the auto adjustment by camera.

What I do is try to change the contract, make the picture more colorful than it was, Then I

change it brightness , make it more bright .

When I first time try to design it, I was trying to make the word appear at the photo

directly however on my working I found out the photo has too many color makes the

words can be barely read, since this is interrupt my reader’s reading process, I decide

draw a color box under the words ,make it good to read. But the box is huge and block

the photo I provide, since this is a photo essay ,watch the photo is also a important

process the reader needed.so I try to change it’s transparency, make reader not only can

read words comfortable but also not interrupt they to watch the photo.

In conclusion this photo essay is making in thoughtful condition, every photo i

choose and design is making are well consider.
