Paul Tedesco appointed as VP, managing director of TRACK DDB
RAPP Canada, the integrated direct response and customer relationship marketing (CRM) business
unit of DDB Canada is undergoing a name change and brand shift, to become TRACK DDB, as part
of a DDB Worldwide makeover. Paul Tedesco, VP, managing director of RAPP Canada will now
serve as TRACK DDB’s VP, managing director.
This brand makeover contributes to an effort by DDB Worldwide to offer an integrated global CRM
offering for new opportunities. The CRM discipline is deepening its roots in consumer behaviour
sciences and presently experiencing tremendous growth.
Under the Omnicom group of companies, RAPP Worldwide will be branching out as a stand-alone
agency network, while DDB’s current affiliate RAPP offices will be re-branding to form the TRACK
network in major markets around the world. The Canadian announcement, made by Frank Palmer,
DDB Group Canada’s chairman and CEO, follows the TRACK name change from Germany in
March 2015. Additional offices moving to the new TRACK brand and agency network will be
announced shortly.

“The new name, TRACK, was developed by Interbrand and it signifies the transformation of the
CRM discipline, moving it beyond customer retention and loyalty programs, to include new and
emerging, trackable digital touch points,” explains Palmer. “TRACK focuses on data-driven systems
for individualized marketing and now includes solutions for e-commerce and marketing automation,
all with a sharp creative, customer-centric focus.”
Palmer unveiled the brand’s new logo today with Tedesco and executive creative director Barb
Williams. The re-brand also comes with a new website TRACKDDB.com and new branded
marketing communications materials.
“TRACK really speaks to how we ‘set the exact course’ for our clients’ brands, navigating them
through our increasingly complex communications world,” says Tedesco, on the meaning behind the
new brand name. “We trace and follow our consumers’ tracks on their decision-making journey, so
we can develop a deep understanding of their needs, and better serve them on behalf of our
