Randy Moore William Randall Moore, “Randy,” was born September 9th, 1946 to William Nathaniel and Gladdys Lance Moore. He grew up in the Pleasant Grove area in Dallas, Texas. He gradu- ated from W. W. Samuell High School and attended Arlington State College. His love for music started in high school where he played the clarinet in the marching band and was active in the school and church choir. Randy was a Boy Scout in troop 781 and earned his Eagle Scout in 1961. He then went on to work in various positions at Frozen Food Express where he retired after 35 years. Randy always loved scouting, camping, and fishing. He was the Scout Master for his sons’ entire troop and worked with the Boy Scout organization in some capacity throughout most of his life. He was an active board member at the Addison Community Theater where he spent many hours building sets, running lights and running sound. He also chaired the com- mittee that worked towards the development of the Water- tower Theatre at the Addison Theatre Centre. Randy loved reading everything he could, but he especially enjoyed science fiction, instruction manuals, and junk mail. After years of professing atheism he was challenged by a coworker named Elise to read the Bible. He had reached such a low time in his life that he didn't think it could hurt. He began to read, and he identified with Job. He began attend- ing Southwest Church of Christ and was baptized. He moved to Highland Oaks where one morning he met Gloria Weidler, a single mother of 3. Within 6 weeks, she proposed to him and they met with Bruce Norman to discuss the wedding. They were married on April 15, 1983. Randy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gloria, his five chil- dren, Lara, Sarah, Jeremy, Joshua and Joseph and their spouses, his four grandchildren, Nicole, Erik, Allyson and Gar- rett, his sister and brother-in-law, Lana and George Thomp- son, and his many nieces and nephews.

ten thousAnd reAsons

Bless the lord, o my soul, o my soul

Worship his holy name

sing like never before, o my soul

i'll worship your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning

It's time to sing your song again

Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me

Let me be singing when the evening comes

You're rich in love, and you're slow to anger

Your name is great, and your heart is kind

For all your goodness I will keep on singing

Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

And on that day when my strength is failing

The end draws near and my time has come

Still my soul will sing your praise unending

Ten thousand years and then forevermore

Jesus loves me

Jesus loves me, this I know

For the Bible tells me so

Little ones to him belong

They are weak but he is strong

Yes, Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me

Yes, Jesus loves me,the Bible tells me so

I love Jesus, does he know?

Have I ever told him so?

Jesus loves to hear me say

That I love him every day

greAter

Bring your tired, bring your shame

Bring your guilt, bring your pain

Don’t you know that’s not you’re name

You will always be much more to me

Every day I wrestle with the voices

That keep telling me I’m not right

But that’s alright

‘Cause I hear a voice and he calls me redeemed

When others say I’ll never be enough

And greater is the One living inside of me

Than he who is living in the world

In the world, in the world

And greater is the One living inside of me

Than he who is living in the world

Bring your doubts, bring your fears

Bring your hurt, bring your tears

There’ll be no condemnation here

You are holy, righteous and redeemed

Every time I fall

There’ll be those who will call me a mistake

Well that’s ok

There’ll be days I lose the battle

Grace says that it doesn’t matter

‘Cause the cross already won the war

He’s greater, he’s greater

I am learning to run freely

Understanding just how he sees me

And it makes me love him more and more

He’s greater, he’s greater

AmAzing grAce

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost, but now I'm found

Was blind, but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear

And grace my fears relieved

How precious did that grace appear

The hour I first believed

My chains are gone, I've been set free

My God, my Savior has ransomed me

And like a flood his mercy reigns

Unending love, amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me

His word my hope secures

He will my shield and portion be

As long as life endures
