We ‘Felt’:

That child labor is a

big social evil

prevailing and it has

gripped our village so

badly. This evil

tradition has affected

the education

of the students

adversely as many

often the

children leave the

school and add to the

number of

drop outs in the

schools.

Page 5: Ramsar

We ‘Imagined’:

that this evil tradition is

annihilated from our

village and all the

children of our village

realize their dreams.

We want that the

dream of education of

the girl children which

our Hon. President

has dreamt come true.

That our village

becomes the role

model to initiate a

campaign against

this social evil tact

with the villagers

Page 6: Ramsar

We ‘Did’:

We organized a rally

through the village and

role play to sensitize

people against this evil.

We persuaded the

parents, who had

already got their

children engaged, not to

get their children labor

and succeeded in

getting the commitment

letter filled by them.

Impact on Community:

The extremely wonderful

and realistic performance

by the students touched

the heart of each and

everyone present. Moved

by the play, people came

forward and requested

the people to stand

against the social evil of

child labor.

The people appreciated

the play by the SBS

students and requested

them to enact the play in

the neighboring villages

also.

The village panchayat

also appreciated for this

noble campaign.

• The success of the campaign strengthened our belief that we were

working in the right direction.

• We were successful in saving the future of those students who

had been engaged in labor .Now they can continue studying with

us and realize their dreams.

• We feel that we are strong enough to take on even the serious

most social issues.

Impact on Us:

Experience of Community Members & Teachers:

• “Baccho ka ye abhiyan prashansniy hai, hum sabhi milkar bachchon ka bachpan majdoori me kharab nahi hone denge.”

Sawai Ram Choudhary , Village Sarpanch.

• “Main apne bachchon ko khet or khan me bhejne ke bajay school bhejane ka vaada karta hoon.-- Parent.

Page 10: Ramsar

• We plan to take this campaign to the neighboring villages so that the

futures of some more children could be saved.

• We also plan to make a task force with the help of the community

leaders to stop the Child Labor.

The Road Ahead…..(in the next 3 months)
