Teacher’s Day!
1
Thank you teacher for helping us.
To learn what we need to know.
We’ll all remember you.
No matter where we go.
Thank you, teacher, for being.
So nice and kind and good.
We like you so much, teacher.
We’d stay here if we could!
I’m happy you’re my teacher.
Thanks for all you do.
You make learning easy.
Your lessons are fun, too!
A teacher is like Winter,
While it’s snowing hard outside,
Keeping students comfortable,
As a warm and helpful guide.
Teacher, you do all these things,
With a pleasant attitude;
You’re a teacher for all seasons,
School Herald, October №2 2016 2 The Concert for our Teachers!
Teacher's Day is a well-
known festival, which is cele-
brated on the 5th of October in
many countries. On this day eve-
ryone can congratulate the teach-
ers, present them with gifts and
say a lot of warm wishes. There
are different concerts in all
schools throughout the holiday.
The parents of our pupils and
students thank our teachers for
their kindness, warmth, and, of course, the knowledge
they provide their students. Many pupils love this cele-
bration no less than teachers, because on this day they
can congratulate teachers on their professional holiday!

On the 5th of October we celebrated Teacher’s Day at
our school. We were very nervous and didn’t want to
upset our teachers. Our pupils sang different songs,
danced and recited poems. Our teachers looked at us
and were very proud. The pupils of Primary school
sang and danced very funny song “One hand, two
hands!” The pupils of the 7th form danced “rock-n-
roll” and the spectators applauded them very loudly.
WE LOVE OUR TEACHERS! OUR ACHIEVE-
MENTS ARE THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS, OUR
KNOWLEDGE IS THEIR KNOWLEDGE, OUR VIC-
TORY IS THEIR VICTORY!
School Herald, October №2 2016 3 Understudy Day at our School!
October 5, our school was held
Understudy Day. A lot of guys had
decided to try themselves in the role
of teachers. Darina and I replaced
the teacher of Russian, Natalia
Evgen’evna. We were very pleased
because we conducted our lessons
in the 7th, 8th and 9th classes. Frank-
ly, it was much easier than to carry
out the lessons in Primary school. It
was easy for us to conduct Russian
and Literature. We immediately
found a common language with
children. There were no cases when
someone misbehaved or did not lis-
ten to us. All lessons were held in a
relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
It is worth noting that all the guys
worked very actively, someone went
to the board to write some exercises,
someone answered orally. We had
not evaluated very strictly and, on
the contrary, we assisted them as we
could.
While the pupils were conducting their lessons, the teachers were making
up newspapers about modern education!

School Herald, October №2 2016 7 A Visit to the Theatre!
Last Friday some guys and I went to the theatre to watch
"Tsar Fyodor Ioanovich." Brilliant actors showed us the story of
one of the turning points of development of Russia.
The play "Tsar Fyodor Ioanovich" is a Historical drama based
on the book by Alexei Tolstoy. It was very interesting to plunge
into the Middle Ages, the history of our nation and to watch the
historical scenes of the conflict of the reign of Tsar Fyodor.
After all, he was the son of Ivan the Terrible who was a cruel
and ruthless tsar in our history. People were scared of him.
Despite the fact that the performance lasted almost 3 hours, we
were very delighted and were interested in everything that was
on the stage. The play of the actors was at a high level.
As for me, it was beyond my comprehension how one can
remember initially all the texts in verse, especially rather
lengthy dialogues and monologues.
Of course, as it is a historical performance, you have to
delve into it, otherwise, you will understand nothing. This play
will be very interesting for the lovers of history. I advise every-
one to see it! Kuznetsova M., 9A Form
A Visit to St. Petersburg!
I am Arina from the 5th form. I spent my holi-
days very interesting. I do dancing and I enjoy
it. We compete in different dancing contests
and visit a lot of beautiful places. On holidays
we went to St. Petersburg. We danced on a
beautiful stage with lots of other dance teams.
After our performance we went sightseeing
where we saw wonderful buildings. I took a lot
of pictures to show my relatives and class-
mates. I was very exciting and full of emo-
tions. It was an unforgettable trip in my life!

School Fire!
The 28th of October there was a School fire in the
Assembly Hall of our school. It was a very inter-
esting, unusual, exciting and very cool event. All
classes made up their fires, which were then
placed in the middle of the room. Of course, all
classes were very well-prepared. Basically, they
sang very well-known songs that everyone en-
joyed singing along, if we knew the words. 9A
class sang the song "Battery". Of course, we all
sang along, and we enjoyed it very much. Most of
all, we liked the performance of the 10th form
with the song "Blue sweep out the fire." This is a
very gentle and lovely song performed by two
lovely girls.
At the end of the event all participants got cer-
tificates.
In conclusion, I want to say that such an event
as the fire is necessary at our school and it made a
great impression on all of us. I want such events
to be held annually, because it brings us together,
unites all classes and makes our staff more
friendly and cohesive. Kuznetsova M., 9A Form
