TOURISM INDUSTRY DOES NOTREQUIRE A LOT OF LITERACY ANDALSO IT YIELDS MAXIMUM PROFITS

WITH LESS INVESTMENTS. Natural environment attracts tourists, e.g. sea attracts money $

$. Source of income Overcomes Labour shortage Creates domestic employment, pumps up the and flourish

economy. E.g. Hotels Helps the slowdown of rural depopulation Raises the standard of living Increased cultural links with overseas, and the conservation of

local customs and heritage Foreign exchange Decreases migration Put a country on the world map, gets recognized. Foreigners get to experience other people diversity and cultures Money for development and enhancement, improved road

infrastructure, accessibility.

DISADVANTAGES OF TOURISMA FORM OF ECONOMIC COLONIALISM

Overseas labor maybe brought in to fill the better-paid jobs Borrowed money increases national debt Environmental damage mainly through urbanization and

pollution(increased visual, noise, air effluent pollution, productionwaste)

Nature of the wilderness is destroyed

Seasonal employment Unstable market Contributes to Global Warming Usually 10-20% of the income received from tourists stays in the

country. Farming economy is damaged as land is sold to developers, more

imports is made than exports as local production is insufficient. Sources may be overused, causing water shortage  There may be overcrowding , therefore it may become a honeypot

EVALUATIONI think that tourism is an advantage for the area, as this area is new and

unknown , there is no present problems with anything , as there is a few nativetribes , therefore we will not have that many problems

Moreover we are not blindly deforesting but also planting , and we have a bit of both to balance the place out, natural features and man-made features.

Tourism is sustainable and eco friendly as there is not a huge impact on theenvironment and local culture, as we are ensuring that tourists can reduce theimpact of tourism, by conserving resources by seeking out businesses that areenvironmentally conscious, and by using the least possible amount of non-renewable resources, supporting local economies by purchasing local goods

and participating with small, local businesses, supporting the integrity andpride of local cultures by favoring businesses which preserve cultural heritageand traditional values, showing respect to local cultures expectations andassumptions , contributing to intercultural understanding and tolerance. Inorder to develop sustainable tourism and travel industry. And by runningelectricity for 1 hour each day by cycling , using better sources which doesnot consume so much energy.
