• Originally profited with Job Postings and Apartment listings– Job Posting - $75 in San

Francisco Area, $25 in the other main cities.

• Craigslist began to see increases in subscribers which led to non event postings as there was no moderation of the site.

• Companies began posting job listing for technical positions as most subscribers had IT backgrounds.
