COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Rag CIP• CIP part of Rag & Flag activities this year• To bring back the meaning to RnF – Reaching out to the

community and helping beneficiaries.• Remember, the Float and Dance is just our way of thanking the

public for their donations• CIP allows us to connect with the community

Our Adopted Beneficiary• Our adopted beneficiary this year is

• Woodlands Social Centre• They deal mostly with

• Family issues• After/before school childcare

• We will be focusing on the childcare part• Organise a visit to engage the children

CIP Plans• At least 1 visit, probably more• Organise telematches and games for them• Hope to engage them with our float• Let them do some small prop paper marche

• Still working out details now• Will keep everyone posted on confirmed time and venue

• Probably in late-June

MISCELLANY

Open House ‘11• Open House on the 30th July (Sat)• Showcase our progress to the public, as well as other Rag

teams• Encourage togetherness with other teams, build up NUS Spirit• Possible visit by beneficiary to engage them in float

Accounting Matters• We are working on reimbursement basis

• “You buy first, we pay you back later.”• Make sure your purchases are needed, and have been

approved by the Rag Comm• Else they will be rejected

• Make sure you have• The original receipt (with backup copy made)• Your bank account number• Reason for purchase

• Pass these items to Chu Ying ASAP, so she can begin the claiming process earlier

That’s it!• Any Questions?

• We’ll be moving our equipment and materials from the store now, to SR6.
