My Awesome Rafting Experience Gabriel Chi We were in Bali for the holidays and we stayed in a very nice hotel called Aman Nusa. The next day the hotel managed many activities like camel riding and climbing up a hill and having breakfast that sounded fun but I just wanted to relax. But my parents dragged me with them, after breakfast we climbed up the hill. In a hotel nearby was with this place where they gave camel rides! I called my camel Junior and I was feeding Junior it was really fun. After had lunch at a Thai place it was delicious, next we had to drive to a river where we had to go to raft. As we reached the side of the river we saw everyone lined up, the rafters told us the safety measures and how to put on our life jackets on. Each family was put on the raft with one guide telling them where to go. As we entered our raft our guide told us, “This time of the year the water levels are not that high so the rapids are not flowing that fast.” “Wait what rapids?” I asked “you’ll see” said as the guide smiled evilly. After a few minutes we were moving faster, but when I looked around no one was rowing! Then when I looked forward we were going towards some rapids, it looked like a giant whirlpool! It was terrifying. In front of my eyes a calm river had turned into the inside the washing machine spinning with enormous power and with giant spiky rocks sticking out of it. Our guide shouted “LEFT!” we all moved left with our oars and almost bumped into another raft. After a few minutes of the rapids it had slowed down. We observed the scenery and the animals. “It is so beautiful out here,” said my mom.

My Awesome Rafting Experience Gabriel Chi

We were in Bali for the holidays and we stayed in a very nice hotel called Aman Nusa.

After we passed under a rock cliff with vines wrapped around, we even saw some cool looking birds and some awesome monkeys. The guide took a photo of us on the raft, and we enjoyed the scenery as we passed under a tree tunnel. On the other side was the camp as we got off we got some towels and dried off and had lunch. At the end of the rafting I thought that the guides were very experienced and just pretended to make everything little scarier like spinning the boat more.

This was my first experience rafting and it was very fun and I would be happy to do it again and try more new things.
