Echomax now offer the EM12 a popular corner 12inch ball reflector, for everyday or emergency use. The RORC recommend

a mounting height of 4 metres above sea level or on small craft as high as possible. Mount in the catch rain position with

the open corners facing the horizon. Mounting heights of 10-35 feet will give an approximate radar response between 4-7

nautical miles. In the catch rain position the EM12 gives a maximum RCS of 5.57m2 and an average RCS of 1.77m2.

EM18EM18

A flat packed 18” Octahedral corner reflector for emergency use.

The RORC recommend a mounting height of 4 metres above sea level or on

EM230 basemount suitable for direct installation on wheel house roofs, RIB A frames, marker buoys. Robust four

hole base fixing and supplied with fixing kit comprising of spacers to avoid over tightening and neoprene washers

to absorb the shock of crashing down on waves at speed.

Chosen by the RNLI as best reflector for their fleet of 400 RIB's. After capsize tests and exhaustive sea trials, the

Midi recorded 100% paints at 3.8 miles and 80% paints at 5 miles plus in sea state 'fair' although mounted only

2m above sea level. (RORC/ORC recommend 4m above sea level).

requirements of 10M2.

Echomax EM230 has now been allocated a NATONATO

Stock NoStock No.5840-99-742-6193 following the

adoption and use of the Echomax EM230 by the

UK Military Forces and others throughout the

World. Used by the US Navy for target and other

uses.

The EM230 has Ships Wheel Mark certification for

life boats and rescue craft as from December 2012

and copies of the BABT- TUV Module B certificate

can be seen and downloaded from the Certificates

section of this website.

The EM305PE is a popular high response radar reflector with a robust Polyethylene case and is suitable for large 15 - 20

metres size vessels.

Following a year of sea trials the US Navy SubPac Division Hawaii chose the original EM305 glass fibre cased unit for

enhanced visibility upon surfacing for their fleet of Nuclear Submarines. Following their sea trials we introduced the new

Polyethylene case with peak performance of 62.9m² with an average at +1-3° of 10m² which was 21.6% more effective

than the glass fibre model. Also used on Trinity House Buoys, Ostend Harbour Entrance and recently the River Rhone.

Successfully tested by QinetiQ to ISO 8729-1999 and meets RORC,ORC,ISAF 2012/13 and WCC requirements of 10M2.

an incredible response of 12 seperate 50sq.m peaks @+/-3°@30° intervals with an

reflectors on lateral buoys Black Deep-7 and Barrow-7 off Harwich.

EM400 bare array in welded 2mm stainless fitted to Canadian Coastguard

Tower at Joncas's Island Off Natashquan which is located in Quebec on the

Gulf of St Lawrence.

The EM400 exceeds the IALA Regulation of 170m² as backup for

lighthouses, lightships and major hazards. The EM400 recorded a

staggering peak of 251m² at QinetiQ on 21st November 2001. EM400's

have been supplied to the Canadian Customs and the Northern Lighthouse

Authority for testing and possible siting on the Shetland Islands.

In late 2013 the Canadian Coast Guard chose the EM400 array for their

new batch of 300 buoys. They were very happy with the sea trials which

they stated backed up our response data.

foreign navies for target use. Units illustrated utilise IMCO approved yacht navigation lights visible up to 2nm with 2 core

electric cable for independent 12v supply. These lights can be substituted by any of the popular Sealite solar powered battery

lanterns subject to customers specification ie Sealite SL15 1NM or SL 60 or 70 for 2NM.
