Examples of RacismWe read the book Mississippi Trial, 1955 in English class and in the book there was a black boy, named Emmitt Till, that was beaten severely, then strangled and drowned in the river. When they pulled his body out of the river they couldn’t even tell it was him because he was beaten so bad. All of this happened just because he talked to a white woman inappropriately. The men who murdered him were pronounced innocent.

Examples of RacismOne of the most known stories of racism is the Holocaust. Before and during World War II, Adolf Hitler was hard at work at destroying the Jewish population in Europe. Hitler created ghettos and work camps for the Jews to stay in, and eventually sent them to death camps. We know that more than 3 million Jews have died and an additional 3 million have gone missing. This is one of the most tragic stories of racism.

How to Stop RacismTruthfully you can’t stop racism because we are humans and humans will be evil from time to time. The only way to help is to not discriminate against other people and not judge them before you even meet them. If you do this then other people might see what you’re doing and treat other races with respect and treat them just like you are.
