The Sellout!

Page 4: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

Rabbi Shemaiah Clark was born on November 27, 1929 in Bir-mingham, Alabama. Rabbi Clark had his share of independence. The influences in his life were his mother, uncle, and aunt. His mother believed that an educa-tion can help him achieve all of his dreams as well as overcome all of the obstacles he may face in life. Shemaiah Clark attended Catholic School, Lane Grammar, West Field Junior High School and West Field High School.

Upon graduation from West Field High School he went Meyers College in Birmingham, Alabama. In Birmingham, Alabama Shemaiah Clark was in-troduced to Masonry. As he was going through his spiritual development, he left Birmingham, Alabama and was ordained in Christian Ministry at Holy Trinity in New York. Now Shemaiah Clark was still trying to understand the meaning of life and what makes a man he had journeyed to Chicago, Illinois in 1946. While in Chicago he played baseball with the Chicago Trocadero at Washington Park, but way before that, he played with Willie Mays, and also, he sang in a gospel group called the Highway Q C’s.

In 1948, he sang on the BackPorch of 35th & Giles along withthe Chicago Soul Stirs.

In 1948, Rabbi Clark received an uninviting letter from Uncle Sam that he was drafted to arm forces. Rabbi Clark entered the United States Marine Corp. At that time, he didn’t know what to do. I asked Rabbi Clark this ques-tion – DID YOU WANT GO SERVE YOUR COUNTRY? DID YOU HAVE A CHOICE?

Simple Causes Make Good Effects

Page 5: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

At that time, you only had two (2) choices in the matter and they were to SERVE or JAIL! His choice was to serve his country as a Marine and during his tenure in the Marine Corp Rabbi Clark achieved the rank Ser-geant Major E9 and he received ac-commodations such as: four (4) Silver Stars, fourteen (14) Bronze Stars, and three (3) Purple Hearts. I then posed another question was posed to Sh-emaiah Clark! That question was- Do you think the north is better than the south at that time? He answered the question with The north “treated you better” than the south.

Reverend Shemaiah Clark left the Marine Corp in 1953 and returned to Chicago where he rejoined the High-way Q C’s gospel group. He spent a few years traveling with the group during this time his spirit was not sat-isfied and he became interested in the Hebrew Way of Life and joined a He-brew Culture Center. At the same time he joined the Alexen-deria Grand Lodge. He left that lodge and joined the Holy Trinity Lodge where he ascended to the level of Lieu-tenant Sovereign Grand IGGO 33° and Worshipful Master of Holy Trinity Lodge #7. The pull of the Hebrew way of life was so strong that he journeyed back to New York to study and learn the Hebrew Israelite philosophy. As a result of his God given understanding Reverend Shemaiah Clark was now ordained as Rabbi.

After his ordination Rabbi Clark be-came the Co-founder of the Temple Great Sanhedrin and also earns the position of Minister of Informa-tion for the Israelite Board of Rab-bis Mid West Region. He returned to Chicago in 1960 and joined the Chicago Police Department (CPD). He worked on 61st & Racine in the Englewood community and in the 2nd District of 25th Street. Rabbi Clark and his wife Mary K. Clark worked diligently for God and Man which caused him to start his own lodge called the “Order of David Hebrew Lodge #7”in 1980. Where he teaches the methodology of Metaphysics and the importance of understanding what is philosophy? Since the metaphysics is actually a branch of philosophy- it has its own elements…Basically, to deal with reality, to preserve our lives, and to comprehend the world accordingly. The lodge itself has a member capac-ity of 206 plus, including Chapters & Lodges. Rabbi Shemaiah Clark is the founder of the only Hebrew Lodge in the United States.

The “Order of David Hebrew” car-ries the movement of helping peo-ple. Right now, they’re assisting peo-ple who belong to the lodge and non members in career planning and job assistance. The lodge has many offi-cers who invest their time in assist-ing the community in getting jobs and working within communities in surrounding areas.

The journey of a man has climbed to various heights of his ca-reer. As Clark stated while conducting this interview, he stated that his main discovery for life is the reality of community, togetherness, “The fellowship of the Rabbi Spirits”, and “God let this will be done”.

Is This YOU? The innovator of choice!

Do you have thoughts rambling through your mind?

Are you seeing your own reflections in other people’s work?

Are you unhappy about how you’re doing to what you haven’t accomplished?

Do you need to assistance in channeling your thought process?

People we need to change the way we think. We need to develop a strategic path that would guide us into the direction for change, not for the community, but for our-selves. Once we understand that method then, and only then, we will understand the questions that were just asked. Mathemati-cians, statisticians, and scientists are work-ing every day to equate the difference of chance before change. They are trying to equate formula’s that may reinvent life. Just like cloning!

What we see to believe, we purchase. But, what we don’t see are other ideas in the preparation for the future. Yes, we see the challenges that bring about production in our everyday life such as the Internet, auto-mobiles, TV, radio, etc.

But in turn, we need individuals to come with more ideas through the documentation of: Pre-manufacturing- if one can afford it, writing down the invention that one thinks

Born Dontain 2Kleva Williams, 4th January 1973, at Bethany Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, USA, to birth parents mother Barbara Williams and father Howard Walls. Dontain was raised in the Rockwell Garden Projects building 117 apt. #304, then a few years later his family moved to the Austin Area, 108 South Parkside. He attended Depriest Elementary School, and then at-tended Michelle Clark Middle School where he graduated with honors, his freshmen year of high school was spent at Austin Academy.

Dontain 2Kleva Williams started rapping at the age of seven, right after he heard “The Rap-pin Duke” & “The Sugar Hill Gang” for the first time over the radio station WGCI FM. Shortly after that 2Kleva knew that Hip Hop music was something that he wanted to pursue in his life. He started writing poems which naturally turned into writing songs, and ever since then he has been seriously establishing a relationship with his God given talent. He also knew then he had what it took to become a promising Hip Hop artist (that the world has never seen). When two of his childhood best friends and Dontain wrote their very first rap song entitled: “My Mercedes Benz” back in 1985. Over twenty plus years have passed and 2Kleva is one of the most prosperous Independent Entrepreneurs in the Hip Hop industry, and very well respected on the streets.

January of 1998 Dontain decided to come up with a stage name, after months of searching for that phenomenal name in the Webster Dictionary, he finally came across the word clever, right then and there he read the definition for the word, Dontain was really truly overwhelmed & satisfied with the name &meaning so he decided to officially use the name clever, because he felt that the word clever definitely described him not only as a person but ultimately as an artist. So he changed the spelling of the original word clever to Kleva and he put the number 2 in front of the word, and that’s how he came up with his stage name 2Kleva. Not even a month later he copyrighted his stage name for business purposes.

March of 1998, 2Kleva along with his studio engineer, Nate Montgomery decided to record his very first demo of his Hip Hop career. It was entitled: “I Pray” (For The World) sampled from “Something in the Past” by One Way. After the single “I Pray” was completed he started promoting & selling his demo on the streets of Chicago. He sold his single for $5.00 each and successfully sold over 5,000 copies. April 1998 2Kleva also decided to copyright his new single “I Pray” for business purposes. May of 1998 2Kleva performed for the very first time his single “I Pray” (For the World) on the Royce Show, which aired on cable television channel 19 in his home town Chicago, IL. June 1998 he also performed on the Elma & Co. show which also aired on cable television channel 25. August 1998 2Kleva was given an opportunity to perform at a Back to School Special at La Follette Park located on the Westside of Chicago, IL.

January 1999 2Kleva performed for the second time on the Elma & Co. show. 2Kleva still con-tinued to sell his single on the streets of Chicago and successfully sold over a thousand cop-ies. May 1999 2Kleva performed for the second time on the Royce Show. June 1999 2Kleva decided to take time off from working and went on vacation. He stayed at the Riviera Hotel located on the Las Vegas strip, shortly after just two days at the hotel 2Kleva was approached by a gentleman by the name of Freddy who worked at the hotel, as a ticket agent. Freddy offered 2Kleva 2 free tickets to the Hip Hop show that was being performed at the hotel that night. Freddy then asked 2Kleva was he a rap artist, he replied yes, Freddy then asked 2Kleva if he had a demo to give it to him because he knew the promoter of the show personally and that he can set up something for him to perform at the show later that night, if the promoter liked what he heard. Freddy contacted 2Kleva to tell him good news the promoter wanted to meet with him to discuss the details for performing at the show that night. 2Kleva thanked Freddy again for the huge opportunity to be able to perform his single “I Pray” (For the World) in front of hundreds of people at the Riviera Hotel showcase.

August 1999 2Kleva once again performs at La Follette Park for the Back to School Special in Chicago, IL. It was the very first time in 2Kleva’s career that he was blessed with signing

Midwest. He has proven his skills through his track record in the challenges of assist-ing clients, working with the youth and their artistries, being a community leader, working highly with educators, and being a community activist for change. To sum it up, Mr. Lester has became a socially active individual who assist within the community for social change, by helping those who can’t help themselves.

Lester has used the Internet as an outlet for creating awareness and opportunity for cli-ents.

The Rico Da Don - Emergency 911 – Fea-tures: Sincere & AMI provided an opportunity for Local Chicago Artist to gain much needed exposure for their skill sets.

This song is about creating a drama free envi-ronment for that special lady in need of some much needed assistants. Lester’s guidance provides another outlet for free expression as shown in this video.

Where It’s At...Part II

The Sellout!A living document that changes...

A document dedicated to “ROCK” spirit and attitude! And ROCK!

This is where the epicenter of the worldwide movement is friends, it looks small now, but you’re all being cool and signing on...and we see you showing up on our http server with your IP’s and you wouldn’t believe how many more of you are all comin’ through our portal. Cool grooves and way cool enough. And we know that what you’re about to read is a little strong, but with a war going on, now is not the time to just sit there. We’ll see ya at the finish line and bring your friends, then we’re gonna have a party and that’s gonna be a lot of fun...for all of us! Just dig what Brian’s got to say, that’s all. L. Lewis/CEO Worldwide TMA By Brian Sidler - Former Music Writer for Chicago Music Magazine (Chicago, IL 20 October 2007) This message is coming to the people of the world from the Heartland of America. Chicago, IL - USA. We don’t pussy-foot out here people, we tell it like it is and in many places around the hub of this nations bread and butter basket, you CAN get a smile from a strangers face. They call us the city of Big Shoulders. As you can see...we’re back from earlier because the blog has just changed. We’re gonna quit the hip-speak now, that’s just a bunch of fluff for entertainment...and to tell you the truth, we don’t know how entertaining you find it. We do know that plenty of people do agree with the message. Our server shows what people are doing over at Bittersweet and our return visit ratio is nearly 100%. But it’s time to get serious again.

The Sellout and the accompanying mentality! Certainly, the fat cat media centers of the world have been acting like pigs and there has been a backlash against it in the populace. AS well, this is called a liberal perspective. We can’t say as we blame them for being outraged at over the top promiscuity. But!...over the top in any direction, is just that...OVER THE TOP. The so called conserva-tives have the nerve to throw their Bible at you...as if they really follow it except in front of the preachers’ pulpit on Sunday before noon.

Page 25: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

You know what bums oughta do? They should like hang out on the sidewalk in front of the churches of the world. Then when the people come out, we’d see a demonstration of those people’s charitable no-tions. HA! Likely as not, in any particular town, there’d be complaints if it became too popular of a thing to do...then? In come the cops.

But we were sayin’...You can’t tell us, we’re all like the idiots on televi-sion who are the paid clones to purvey this crap at us. Just because television and especially the News Organizations (notice the capital-ization) puts out the crap they do for our consumption and for lack of better resources, most of the populace consumes the watching of these airwaves so that the jerks in the advertising world can hit the sex & death button about a product they’ve been paid to make a message for, by a fat cat corporation, doesn’t mean we like it. It does mean that it’s the only thing that’s on the air. That’s all it means.

What’s the sellout, huh? The sellout is the idea of resorting to sublimi-nalistic button-buy messages in order to sell a product. The two big-gest culprit messages are sex and death. “It’s interesting when people die, we need dirty laundry.” Don Henley circa mid 80’s! The sellout is watching it all take place and doing nothing about it. The sellout is, paying lip service to something that’s important while doing noth-ing when not in public view. The sellout is making babies and a living instead of helping to do anything when it comes to solving problems which this world cannot avoid. The sellout is thinking that governments are competent. The sellout is thinking that religiosity is comforting enough. The sellout is thinking that by agreeing with a point of view, that this action in and of itself is good enough. The sellout is, just sit-ting there. The sellout is turning your back on it and just taking care of yourself. The sellout is growing old knowing you could have done something, but did nothing. The sellout is not giving a rats ass and be-ing proud to say so, which, we have definitely seen a rise in, ya know, quasi-nihilism!

The sellout is being a beautiful woman and buying into the play-bunny mentality. The sellout is being a guy all pumped up on his own beefcake-vanity and drinkin’ beer as a means of mind expansion. The sellout is succumbing to the pop cultural fads and thinking that that is a way to be cool and gain acceptance from your peers. The sellout is a corporate type who can’t think outside the box. The sellout is a jour-nalist who thinks that by being a journalist they’re an elite thinker.

Page 26: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

The sellout is when you can’t wait for someone to get out of YOUR way while you’re driving in your car and tailgating the person in front of you, because where you’re going is more important than where they are going.

The sellout is complacency. The sellout is unfettered egotism. The sellout is being a me-tooer. The sellout is baby making when there’s plenty children to adopt elsewhere. The sellout is acceptance of the status quo. The sellout is seeking status for the sake of it. The sell-out is rank consumerism as a means for finding meaning in your life. The sellout is accepting religion at face value with no in-depth inquiry. The sellout is asking God to make your problems go away, when you created them in the first place. The sellout is forgetting your manners because it’s easier to be lewd, crude and getting screwed. The sellout is being a spoiled brat with a cell phone. The sellout is being a parent that would allow it. The sellout is a willful disregard for the lessons of history. The sellout is not reading history in the first place. The sellout is being a degreed professional, which thinks that being such makes one better than a professional floor sweeper. The sellout is thinking that net worth and self worth are one and the same.

As we continue to contemplate how many different ways the popula-tions of the free world “sellout”, let’s define the term. A sellout is shrug-ging your shoulders in the face of something that may be wrong and saying, I’m just one person, what can I do about it? Better yet! What should I do about it? In short the sellout cops to the prevailing winds of societal normatism and cultural trend and whichever way that winds blows. You’re just a woodchip in a pile of mulch.

Now, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that should be considered by that statement that says, that insurrection by violence towards a gov-ernment or governing body or any other unpeacable means is a way to address a problem...it’s NOT and is never a good option, it’s not healthy. Has war for the sake of ending war, ever, EVER, achieved it’s aim? Good question! Ever read your history? Hey, it’s one thing to be minding your own business while you’re walking down the street and some jerk whacks you for no reason and you defend yourself...in most of the free speaking world...that is a recognized “God” given right even if it’s not given by God. It’s quite another to be Osama & Company...those damn loons. HA! What’s funny about those cats, is that they haven’t even stated their terms for getting along, down the line.

Page 27: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

They’re just a bunch of madass mutha’s with nothin’ to do and no-where to go...yelling about how bad us “Westerners” are. Us and all of our ways! AND, they do not have the means to do anything but be an by irritant killing innocent people...Well, what a bunch of low life, double digit IQ, ill mannered uneducated, religiously bigotted, Q’uran misquoters they are. They’re not Muslims...THEY’RE THUGS!

But Rock Attitude is in the deserts of IRAQ babies. Whether you think they should be there or not. Rock Attitude is in Afghanistan. Do you think those soldiers over there could do without it? Sure, they must stay regimented; the military is the ultimate expression of decorum, PROPERLY USED. But they’re listening to those stereos and walk-mans and such because they couldn’t cope without it. You don’t think they’re listening to Mozart do ya?

Why digress there? Because people, there are many different types of behaviors in the world which can be proscribed to ROCK ATTITUDE!

But what does the sellout message in life really do? The biggest sellout is opting for yourself instead of joining together. The biggest civil sellout is not going to the polls because you think it’s rigged. Ya see, that is one of the most important ways we DO join together, even from opposing points of view. How many soldiers died over these last couple of centuries on either side of an issue defending your right to do just that? VOTE! Yes, defending your right to say what it is you want to say without being encumbered by a ball and chain. Let us pose this question? What do you think would be in the political minds of our respective countries, if they knew that on election day, 100% of the country was going to show up and tell them to get the hell out of there...because they did a crap job! How would they then begin to pander for your vote?

The political systems of the world, kind of suck don’t they? Well you can’t change them if you don’t vote people. How simple is that for you all to understand?

The reason that tastes in music moved the way they did over the en-suing years after Rock became some fat cats whore, is because these cats had the radio waves locked up by making payments under the table by so called radio promoters (about 20 or 30 primarily in the

Page 28: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

USA) to the program directors of the worlds radio stations.

True enough, it’s hard to find a political party (and what a euphemism that is) that actually speaks for something you think to care about. But since it’s all so screwed up with special interests, which are people bent on their own agenda for the alms of the public coffers...how can you get rid of that, huh?

Think about it. Now here’s a message from one of the father’s of the free world...George Washington.

“One can always depend upon a man’s own self interest.” George Washington

In preface to what you are about to read, we will furnish a simple explanation. It is an excerpt from The Man’s farewell speech to the na-tion as he was about to retire from public life. It was published in many if not all of the major news jourmnals throughout the young nation called and affectionately known by then as simply...America. In the following paragraph what this Father states is a warning against politi-cal parties and what can occur as a result. At that time there were two firmly beginning to entrench themselves. Jeffersonian felicities were Rural. Hamiltonian felicities were Urban. Territorial psychology, and the accompanying interests that went along with living in any particular environ, was beginning to take hold of the nation.

Furthermore, many of you will not get all the way through it. Listen we understand, but this great man deserves remembrance for his wisdom and his words should not be diminished by a tawdry explanation, by comparison with some historians, such as ours. So we reprint it. We also must give credit to a man who helped write it...The Late President though not at the time, James Madison. Now, if you do not read it...just skip to the end, but we will tell you that it will be only to your detriment if you don’t.

It starts with Paragraph 15...

15) In contemplating the causes, which may disturb our Union, it oc-curs as matter of serious concern, that any ground should have been furnished for characterizing parties by Geographical discriminations, Northern and Southern, Atlantic and Western; whence designing men

Page 29: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

may endeavor to excite a belief, that there is a real difference of local interests and views. One of the expedients of party to acquire influence, within particu-lar districts, is to misrepresent the opinions and aims of other districts. You cannot shield yourselves too much against the jealousies and heart-burnings, which spring from these misrepresentations; they tend to render alien to each other those, who ought to be bound together by fraternal affection. The inhab-itants of our western country have lately had a useful lesson on this head; they have seen, in the negotiation by the Executive, and in the unanimous ratifica-tion by the Senate, of the treaty with Spain, and in the universal satisfaction at that event, throughout the United States, a decisive proof how unfounded were the suspicions propagated among them of a policy in the General Gov-ernment and in the Atlantic States unfriendly to their interests in regard to the Mississippi; they have been witnesses to the formation of two treaties, that with Great Britain, and that with Spain, which secure to them everything they could desire, in respect to our foreign relations, towards confirming their prosperity. Will it not be their wisdom to rely for the preservation of these ad-vantages on the union by which they were procured? Will they not henceforth be deaf to those advisers, if such there are, who would sever them from their brethren, and connect them with aliens?

16 To the efficacy and permanency of your Union, a Government for the whole is indispensable. No alliances, however strict, between the parts can be an adequate substitute; they must inevitably experience the infractions and in-terruptions, which all alliances in all times have experienced. Sensible of this momentous truth, you have improved upon your first essay, by the adoption of a Constitution of Government better calculated than your former for an in-timate Union, and for the efficacious management of your common concerns. This Government, the offspring of our own choice, uninfluenced and unawed, adopted upon full investigation and mature deliberation, completely free in its principles, in the distribution of its powers, uniting security with energy, and containing within itself a provision for its own amendment, has a just claim to your confidence and your support. Respect for its authority, compliance with its laws, acquiescence in its measures, are duties enjoined by the funda-mental maxims of true Liberty. The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their Constitutions of Government. But the Constitution which at any time exists, till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole people, is sacredly obligatory upon all. The very idea of the power and the right of the people to establish Government presupposes the duty of every individual to obey the established Government.

Page 30: Rabbi Shemaiah Clark

17 All obstructions to the execution of the Laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and ac-tion of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the del-egated will of the nation, the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mir-ror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels, and modified by mutual interests.

The point is people...buy the music of an artist that you like and quit being complacent by thinking that these people are making a liv-ing while you sit there and enjoy their labor without even the faintest thought of supporting it, like you should, or letting the fat cats lull you into thinking that their way is the best way. Because you already know by now, they’re producing mostly garbage, right? What about the ex-isiting and currently-competing musicians and their “Blood, Sweat and Tears.” Their investment...just so you can get through the day with a bit of sunshine in your life that comes from over your speakers at that screen. Can y’all imagine how much better the music market would be if y’all actually voted with your buck for the right stuff, instead of the way things are going now? You don’t need that stupid little flat thing. All you have to do is hit that add to cart button and give it straight to the artist (where it belongs) to get the stuff. It’ll be in your email box within a few minutes. Then buy any ole MP3 player...(they’re cheap) and there ya go. That’s the way to walk around those pigs we’ve been tellin’ you about! Or buy a CD, it’s still a legit package medium and that’s something that you control!

18 However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, am-bitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people, and to usurp for themselves the reins of government; de-stroying afterwards the very engines, which have lifted them to unjust dominion.
