Open flap (1) in side panel, rear left.Release navigation computer (2) with specialtool 65 5 400 (3) and pull out.

Unfasten plug connection.If necessary, after replacing navigation computer, load operatingsoftware and carry out coding, refer to Diagnosis and Information System.

51 47 172 Removing and installing/replacing flap inluggage compartment trim, left or right

Open trunk lid.

Take out luggage compartment floor trim panel (1).

Installation:Make sure tensioning belts (2) are correctly positioned.

Left side:Version with navigation system:If necessary, remove navigation computer,refer to 65 90 510.Lever out catches (1) and remove frame (2).

Version with CD changer:Open cover (1) for CD changer.Unlock bayonet lock (2) and open flap (3).

Version with CD changer:Detach panel (1) at rear and lift over CD changer (2).Release plastic screw fittings (3) and detach panel components.

Installation:Plastic screw fittings (3) are only pressed together duringinstallation.

Right side:Unlock and open flap.Release expansion rivets (1) and remove flap.

65 50 510 Removing and installing/replacing videomodule for on-board monitor (saloon)

Remove luggage compartment side trim panel, left,refer to 51 47 172.

Release screw (1), disconnect plug connections (2) and removevideo module (3) towards top.

Installation:Place sockets (1) of video module (3) on guide pins (1).If necessary, when replacing video module, load operatingsoftware and carry out coding; refer to DIS.

If necessary, remove CD changer,refer to 65 11 070.Open flap in rear left side panel.

Disconnect plug connections (1) and cut open cable ties (2).

Release screws (1) and (2) and remove receiver module withbracket.During replacement, separate receiver module from bracket.

If necessary, remove video module for on-board monitor.If necessary, remove receiver module of Global PositioningSystem (GPS).

Release knurled nut and disconnect antenna plug (1).Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.Release screw (3).Withdraw mounting bracket (4) from guide and remove.

Installation:Ensure mounting bracket (4) is correctly seated.

Remove transmit-receive unit (5) in direction of arrow.

Installation:Ensure sealing strips are correctly positioned.If necessary, replace sealing strip.

64 22 190 Removing and installing / replacing fresh-airgrill in rear of car

Depending on the equipment version, a heater control or afinisher strip may be installed. All versions are removed in thesame manner.Press fresh-air grill (1) and heater control (2) apart somewhatand clip heater control (2) out of guide groove at top.

Pull fresh-air grill (1) upward and screw out heater control (2).

Push fresh-air grill (1) downward by dimension A (approx. 30 to40 mm) and out of recesses of guide groove.

Installation note:Guide fresh-air grill centered into recesses (1) of guidegroove and press completely upward. Then install finisherstrip or heater control.

Remove center console.

Fold up left and right armrests.If necessary, remove telephone handset.

Move center consoles (1) on left and right slightly in direction ofarrow, lever out at rear in direction of arrow and remove.

Car phone, fixed mounting:Press together clips and remove plug.

Unfasten screws and lever out eject box.

Mobile phone:Cut through cable ties (1).Unlock plug housing (2) and unclip.Unclip plug connection (3) and disconnect.

Unlock eject box (1) and remove in direction of arrow.

Disconnect plug connection (1).Remove eject box (2).

Caution!Do not use sharp-edged tools to remove trim (risk of damageto head air bag).

Lever out top interior light,take out towards top anddisconnect plug connection.

Version with head airbag in rear compartment:Can be identified by airbag emblem (1).Unfasten screws (2).Take out panel (3) towards inside at top.

Installation:Tightening Torque,refer to Technical Data 51 43 1AZ.

Only replacing:Remove insulating mat (1) and glue to new C-pillar finisher.
