• R Net is an Application Software (Similar to Speed net for Speed post) which will be put in to use at the Mail offices.

• This also facilitates the end to end tracking• The R Net was developed in house at the

Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology, Mysore.

Despatch (POS - Despatch Module) • Receipt >Receipt from counters/special journal/BOs • Click on “Receive” Button to accept the articles

Auto Sorting

1. What is Auto Sorting? The articles received will be allotted to Due Bags depending upon the Pincode given at the time of Article Booking and Pin range allotted to that Due Bag as below steps.2. To benefit auto sorting the following configuration is mandatory. (One time only) 3. Configure the Pin code Range for the Due Bags from supervisor menu by going to “Master --> Allot Pin range” as shown in below screen

Perform Auto Sorting (To be done by Operator)Operator => Prepare => Auto Sorting. This auto sorting option can be used for article sorting for Bundle / Bag / HVMO list for each Despatch.

Save to Bundle / Close Bundle • Prepare => Bag / Bundle option• You can add\modify the articles in a bundle by clicking

the “Save to Bundle” option till final closure. • Prior to close the bundle, application will prompt

following message for final closer of bundle. • Till final closure of bundle articles can be added to

bundle using “Save to Bundle” option.

POSTMAN - DELIVERY

DELIVERY (Postman)• At the beginning of the day, the R Net communication has to be run to

fetch data from sorting office. • Thereafter the function of the day can start. However, while receiving

the bag, we can receive the bags using virtual scanning option• But this virtual bag has to be selected only when the bag concerned is

physically received. Further action on bag receipt is done in the usual course.

Invoicing articles for the beats Once the bags received are opened through virtual scanning, data of articles inside will be available in the invoicing screen for automatic selection as seen in figure below

R Net Communication • The R Net communication will communicate to

Central server periodically to upload the Booking / Despatch / Delivery data for further processing.

• Keep RNet Communication Always open• Update Office Master Data when you receive

alerts

• User Call server option to transmit frequently
