Two weeks Course on 'Tactics-53' is scheduled to be held at SVP NationalPolice Academy, Hyderabad from January 08-19, 2018 for the directly recruitedIPS officers (ASP & SP), Dy SPs from States and ACs & DCs from CAPFs/CPOswith minimum 3 years of service.

2. The course on Tactics is a two week duration comprjsing following

short modules:1. Jungle Module2. Urban Module3. Explosive Module4. Misc. topics Module

The primary objective of the course is to make the participants>

Conversant with the conduct of tactical operations in militancy i~festedareas including urban, rural and jungle areas.. -'Conversant with the minor tactics and basic drills of ClOps.Conversant with use of geographical area and 'weapons to their tacticaladvantage.AW,areabout lates~ technologies in terms of weapons including non-lethaloptl1ons, dcommu:1lcatIon equipment and body wear/armor, to sustainpro onge operations. and physically fit and are serving with any special task forces.

5. Eligibility: Since this course involves' stre~1U01:lSexercise in the Jungle, theparticipants nominated for this course should be physically fit 'and preferablybelow 40 years of age. The maximum age limit nomination is 45 years subject towillingl1ess and physical fitness of the nominee. The officers nominated for thecourse are advised to undergo morning joglbrisk walk for 1-2 kms per day for 10days prior to the course to prepare themselves to undeltake 5to 8 kms of tactical

move in the jungle.

6. Nomination: Each State /CAPFs/Organization has been allotted 03. seats.As per seats allotted, it is requested to nominate three officers for the said courseas main and one more as reserve, well in advance, with following details of theircadre, full address including fax/telephone numbers and e-mail address. Reserve.Officers are to be kept ready for last moment replacement.

7. The nominations for the course as above may please be sent to theAcademy latest by 8th December, 2017, through Fax (040-24015179) / E-mail(seniorcourse@svpnpa.gov.in) for acceptance and forwarding joining instructions to

the nominated officers directly. .

8. . Tl:e Programme is fully residential and the paliicipants of the Course will be~taymg 111 the accon~modation provided by the Academy. The expenditure to be.incurred on boardmg and lodging of the participants shall be met by theA~ade~y, rn respect of all officers attending the Course. 7. A list of Officers who had given their willingness to develop domain expertisein 'Counter Terrorism, Tactics & Counter Insurgency' is enclosed herewith asAnnexure-A. It is requested thatwhile nominating Officers for above-said course,the DGs may give preference to these Officers from their respective States/U'Ts,

8. The dress order Indoor sessions for the participants is Civvies i.e. shirt (fullsleeves), Trouser & tie for gentlemen and Salwar Kameez/Saree/Business Suit forladies. Outdoor Session: Camouflage dungarees including cap, Jungle Shoes & beltor Lower Camouflage dungarees with Gray/Green T-Shirt.,

9. The nominees may be advised to proceed for the programme only afterreceiving confirmation of acceptance of their nominations from the Academy.The officers' nominated for the course are required to report at the Academy by theevening of 7th January, 2018 i.e. one day before the commencement of the course.Transport from Hyderabad Airport! Railway station to Academy and back will beprovided by the Academy as per travel plan provided by the participants.
