He reminded all who attended or wo tuned in to the World Meeting of Families that the Sign of the Cross is the first Profession of Faith ... from a young age we can publicly express our faith in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.On this Feast of the Lord’s Baptism, we invite all parishioners - particularly those who set out on the journey last year towards their First Confession and Confirmation - to follow the guidance of Pope Francis and to encourage younger children to bless themselves with Holy Water at the start of the day and at bedtime. :::::::::::::::: This weekend we welcome the young candidates who will be born again by water and the Holy Spirit during the Mass and Celebration of Baptism during 12:00noon Mass in St Oliver’s Church. :::::::::::::::: The Parish Baptismal Course will be held next Wednesday at 8:00pm in St Anne’s Resource Centre. Pre- registration through the parish office is essential. Sincere thanks to all Baptismal Team members, grandparents, relations and neighbours who have offered a Christian welcome to the parents and godparents of the 200 boys and girls who were baptised in our parish last year.
