Friendship Camp was designed to reflect a cowboy town from the wild west in America. Kids from all over Romania have seen western movies for years and know all about cowboys and Indians. Friendship Camp has been a favorite camp to attend now for over a decade. Children have grown up learning to love “old town”, not just because it looks like a place out of a movie, but because of the friendships, good times and hearing about that special friend,”Jesus”, whom many have come to know as their Savior and friend. According to our leaders in Romania, this year we will need to give some serious atten- tion to our 6 covered wagons. The wagons are sleeping quarters for campers each week. They each sleep 9 people, 8 campers in 4 bunk beds and one camp counselor. The original wagons have served their purpose for almost 10 years, but now it’s time to replace the wood bodies of the wagons and the covers. We will need to replace all 6 wagons. Each wagon will cost $2,000.- to replace. We have 2 great mission teams coming in May to do the work. We need our friends to help with funding the project. If you are able to help, there are two ways: 1. A monetary gift, sent as a check to our office, made out to Friendship International and a note, “Covered Wagons”, or by using our online electronic portal. Go to our web- site - www.friendshipintl.org, click on the Donate button in the menu bar and follow the instructions for registering to donate online. 2. Please read the article on the backside of this page, introducing our creative way for friends to effectively support Friendship International ministry projects. There is a new and very unique way you can make a difference. We hope you will prayerfully consider getting involved this Spring. THE COMING OF SPRING The official first day of Spring in 2019 is- March 20. But, as the saying goes, March often comes in like a roaring lion, and goes out as a calm lamb. That definitely seems to be true here in Colorado for so many years. In fact, this year we’ve had record making winter weather. On March 13 and 14, we were hit with a bomb cyclone, with rain, 80+ mph wind gusts and snow, all at the same time. But we are hopeful. In just a couple of weeks, we will not be thinking of those horrible sounds of the lion but rather rest- ing in the beauty of God’s heavenly sun- light. Spring will finally have come. I think there is a wonderful application here. God’s word says, “The Lord sits en- throned over the (storm); May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!” Ps. 29;10-11. Such a great reminder that God is still all powerful over the storms of life, for He “sits enthroned over the storm.” Spring is coming to our world, to our life. Wait pa- tiently upon Him and His blessings. ISAIA MUSCAN July 9, 1948 - March 9, 2019 IN SYMPATHY Friendship International sends our deepest sympathy to you, Adi Muscan, and your entire family for the loss of your father, Isaia Muscan, . Please pass on our condolences to your mom, Adi, and your siblings. e Muscan family has meant so much to the F.I. family over the years. It’s been our privilege to have many of the Muscan family members join with us in ministry. I would like you Adi, and Tabita to think about the lyrics of a song you sang several years ago on tour. It goes like this, “Even in the valley God is good”. We hope the lyrics of this song will bring comfort and encourage- ments at this time of mourning, for your family.

These are photos from Friendship Camp in Sistarovat, Romania. Friendship Camp was designed to reflect a cowboy town from the wild west in America. IN SYMPATHYFriendship International sends our deepest sympathy to you, Adi Muscan, and your entire family for the loss of your father, Isaia Muscan, . Probably everyone across the United States has heard of a program which uses the concept of donating cars and other vehicles for helping with the needs and education of “children at risk” here in America. Friendship International would like to introduce a new program which can be a win - win opportunity for our mission as well as friends of our ministry. You win by donating your unneeded vehicle to us and we win by using the revenue from your vehicle to invest in the future of Friendship Camp in Romania and The Farm in Hungary. The sale of your vehicle will be used to continue developing our camp facilities in Romania and Hungary, as well as offering more scholarships for orphans and gypsy children to attend camp.

KAMPS

Also our goal will be to invite 100 orphans and gypsy children to camp this summer. The cost for one week, for one child, is $75.-

Your vehicle could provide enough revenue to send 25, 50 or 100 children to camp this summer!

This summer our special project in Romania at Friendship Camp is to replace all 6 of our covered wagons. The cost for replacement of each wagon is $2,000.

Your vehicle could provide enough revenue to build 1, 2 or more covered wagons!

How It Works 1. Send us an email ([email protected]), with the following information: • Make / Year / Model / Mileage / Have Title / Running Condition (we can only take those in good running condition)

• Include contact information - Name, Address, Phone Number

2. We will call to schedule a pick up time.

3. We will come to pick it up as soon as possible. Your car will be sold at auction, to a local dealer or a private buyer.

4. You are finished.

5. You will then receive a tax deductible receipt for the sales price received for your car. If you have questions or comments, please call and speak with ourdirector,DelHuff-719-510-1540.
