Allah does not lovethe public mention of evil words, except bythe one who has beenwronged. And Allahis All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

If youdisclosea goodor conceal it or pardonan evil, then indeed,Allah is Oft-Pardoning,All-Powerful.

Indeed, those whodisbelieve in Allah and

Messengers andwish to differentiate between Allah andMessengers and say,We believe in some anddisbelieve in others.And they wish to take awayin betweenthat.

Truly, they aredisbelievers. Andhave prepared for thedisbelievers a humiliating punishment.

And those who believe in Allah and

Messengers andthey do not differentiate between anyone of them- to those, will givethem their reward. AndAllah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.

The People of theBook ask you to bringdown to them a book fromthe heaven. Indeed,they had asked Musaevengreater

[the] wordsexcept(by the one) whohas been wronged.And Allah isAll-Hearing,

so struck themthe thunderboltfor their wrongdoing.Thenthey took

and We saidto them,Enterthe gate,prostrating.And We saidto them.

(Do) nottransgressinthe Sabbath.And We tookfrom thema covenant

solemn .154Then because oftheir breaking(of) their covenant

and their disbeliefin (the) Signs(of) Allahand their killing(of) the Prophets

withoutany rightand their saying,Our hearts(are) wrapped.Nay,

Allah (has) set a sealon their (hearts)for their disbeliefso notthey believeexcept

a few.155And for their disbeliefand their sayingagainstMaryam

a slandergreat.156And for their saying,Indeed, wekilled

the Messiah,Isa,son(of) Maryam,(the) Messenger(of) Allah.And not

they killed himand notthey crucified himbutit was made to appear (so)

and their disbelief in theSigns of Allah and their killing of the Prophetswithout any right andtheir saying, Our heartsare wrapped. Nay,Allah has set a seal ontheir hearts for their disbelief, so they do not believeexcepta few.

Andfor their disbelief and their saying againstMaryam a great slander.

And for their saying,Indeed, we have killedthe Messiah, Isa, son of Maryam, the Messenger of Allah. And they didnot kill him nor did theycrucify him; but it wasmade to appear so

to them. And indeed,those who differ in it arein doubt about it. Andthey have no knowledgeof it except thefollowingof assumption. Andcertainlytheydid not killhim.

And there is nonefrom the People of theBook but must believe inhim before his death.And on the Day of Resurrection he will be awitnessagainstthem.

Then for thewrongdoing of the Jews,

made unlawful for them good things whichwere lawful for them,and for their hinderingmany (people) from theway of Allah.

And for their takingof usury while they wereforbidden from taking itand for their consumingwealth of peoplewrongfully. Andhave prepared for thedisbelievers among thema painfulpunishment.

Butthosewhoarefirmin knowledge amongthem and the believers believe in what has beenrevealed to you and whatwas revealedbefore you.And those who establish prayer

the Zaboor.163And MessengerssurelyWe (have) mentioned themto you

bearers of glad tidingsand warners,so that notthere isfor the mankindagainst

Allahany argumentafterthe Messengers.And Allah isAll-Mighty,

Indeed, haverevealed to you asrevealed to Nuh and theProphets after him, and

revealed to Ibrahim,Ismail, Ishaq, Yaqub, thetribes, Isa,Ayyub,Yunus,Harun and Sulaiman,and to Dawood gavethe Zaboor.

And havementioned to you aboutthe Messengers beforeand the Messengersabout whom havenot mentioned to you.And Allah spoke toMusa directly.

Messengers are bearers of glad tidingsand warners so thatmankind will have noargument against Allahafter the Messengers.AndAllah isAll-Mighty,All-Wise.

But Allah bearswitness to that whichhas revealed to you.has sent it down with

knowledge and theAngels bear witness(as well). And Allah issufficient as a Witness.

(Do) notcommit excessinyour religionand (do) notsay

aboutAllahexceptthe truth.Onlythe Messiah,Isa,

son(of) Maryam,(was) a Messenger of Allahand His wordwhich He conveyed

toMaryamand a spiritfrom Him .So believein Allahand His Messengers.

And (do) notsay,Three;desist(it is) betterfor you.Only

Indeed, those whodisbelieve anddo wrong,Allah will not forgivethem nor will guidethem to a way,

Except the way to

Hell, they will abide in itforever. And that is easyforAllah.

O mankind! Surelythe Messenger has cometoyou with the truth fromyour Lord, so believe, itis better for you. Butif you disbelieve, thenindeed, to Allah belongswhatever is in the

heavens and the earth.And Allah is All-Knowing,All-Wise.

O Peopleof theBook!Do not commit excess inyour religion nor sayanything about Allahexcept the truth. TheMessiah, Isa, son of Maryam, was only aMessenger of Allah and

word, whichconveyed to Maryamand a spirit from .So believe in Allah and

Messengers. And donot say, Trinity, desist- it is better for you.Allah is the onlyGod. Glory be to !(Far Exalted is )above having a son. To

171Neverwill disdainthe Messiahtobe

then He will gather themtowards Himall together.172Then as forthose who

believedand didthe righteous deedsthen He will give them in fulltheir reward

and give them morefromHis Bounty.And as forthose who

painful,and they will not findfor themselvesbesides Allahany protector

and notany helper.173O mankind!Surelyhas come to you

a convincing prooffromyour Lord,and We (have) sent downto youa clear light.

174So as forthose whobelievedin Allahand held fast

to Him,then He will admit theminMercyfrom Himselfand Bounty

and will guide themto Himself(on) a straight way.175

They seek your ruling.Say,Allahgives you a rulingconcerning

Never would theMessiah disdain to be aslave of Allah nor theAngels near (Allah).And whoever disdains

worship and isarrogant, then willgather them towards

all together.

Thenas for those who believe and do righteousdeeds, willgive themtheir reward in full andgive them more from

Bounty. And as for those who disdain andare arrogant, will punish them with a painful punishment,and they will not find

for themselves besidesAllah any protector or helper.

O mankind! Surely aconvincing proof hascome to you from your Lord, and have sentdown to you a clearlight.

So as for those who believe inAllah and holdfast to - willadmitthem in Mercyand Bounty and willguide them toon a straightway.

They seek your ruling.Say, Allah gives you aruling concerning

they stopped youfromAl-Masjid Al-Haraamthatyou commit transgression.

And help one anotherin[the] righteousnessand [the] piety,but (do) not

help one anotherin[the] sinand [the] transgression.And fearAllah;

indeed,Allah(is) severe(in) [the] punishment.2Are made unlawful

on youthe dead animals,and the blood,and flesh(of) the swine,and what

has been dedicatedto other thanAllah,[on it],and that which is strangled (to death),

and that which is hit fatally,and that which has a fatal fall,and that which is gored by horns,

and that whichate (it)the wild animalexceptwhatyou slaughtered,and what

is sacrificedonthe stone altars,and thatyou seek divisionby divining arrows -

that(is) grave disobedience.This day(have) despairedthose whodisbelieved

severe in punishment.

Are made unlawful for you the dead animals, blood, the flesh of

swine, and that which isdedicated to other thanAllah, and that which iskilled by strangling or by a violent blow or by ahead-long fall or by thegoring of horns, and thatwhich is eaten up by thewild animal except whatyou slaughter (before itsdeath), and that whichis sacrificed on stonealtars, and that you seek division by diviningarrows - that is grave

disobedience. This daythose who disbelievehave despaired of (defeating) your religion;so do not fear them, butfear . This day have perfected your religionfor you and havecompleted Favor upon you, and haveapproved for you Islamas a religion. Butwhoever is forced

Allah has taught you.So eatof whatthey catchfor you,but mention

(the) name(of) Allahon it,and fearAllah.Indeed,Allah

is swift(in taking) account.4This dayare made lawfulfor you

the good things;and (the) food(of) those whowere giventhe Book(is) lawful

for you,and your food(is) lawfulfor them.And the chaste womenfrom

the believersand the chaste womenfromthose whowere giventhe Book

before you,whenyou have given themtheir bridal due,being chastenot

being lewdand notones (who are) takingsecret lovers.And whoeverdenies

the faith -then surely(are) wastedhis deedsand he,inthe Hereafter,

(will be) amongthe losers.5O youwhobelieve!When

you stand upforthe prayer,then washyour facesand your hands

by hunger with noinclination to sin, thenindeed, Allah isOft-Forgiving, MostMerciful.

They ask you what ismade lawful for them.Say, Lawful for you arethegoodthings and whatyou have trained of hunting animals which

you train as Allah hastaught you. So eat of what they catch for youand mention the name of Allah on it, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah isswift in takingaccount.

This day (all) goodthings have been madelawful; and the food of those who were giventhe Book is lawful for you and your food islawful for them. And(lawful in marriage are)chaste women from the believers and chastewomen from those whowere given the Book before you, when youhave given them their bridal due, desiringchastity, not lewdnessnor taking them as secretlovers. And whoever denies the faith, thensurely his deeds arewasted and in theHereafter he will beamong thelosers.

O you who believe!When you stand up for prayer, wash your facesandyour hands

the ankles.But ifyou are(in) a state of ceremonial impuritythen purify yourselves.

your facesand your handswith it.Allah (does) not intendto make

for youanydifficultybutHe intendsto purify youand to complete

with [it]whenyou said,We heardand we obeyed;and fearAllah.

Indeed,Allah(is) All-Knowerof what(is in) the breasts.7O you

whobelieve!Besteadfastfor Allah(as) witnessesin justice,

and let not prevent youhatred(of) a people[upon]that notyou do justice.

Be justit(is) nearerto [the] piety.And fearAllah;indeed,

Allah(is) All-Awareof whatyou do.8Allah has promised

till the elbows and wipeyour heads and (wash)your feet till the ankles.But if you are in a stateof ceremonial impurity, purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journeyor one ofyou hascome from the toilet or you have had contactwith women and you donot find water, then do

with cleanearth by wiping your faces and your handswith it. Allah does notintend to make anydifficulty for you butintends to purify you andcomplete Favor upon you, so that youmaybe grateful.

And remember theFavor of Allah upon youand covenant with

which bound youwhen yousaid, We hear and we obey; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah isAll-Knower of what is inthebreasts.

O you who believe!Be steadfast for Allah aswitnesses in justice, anddo not let the hatred of people prevent you from being just. Be just; it isnearer to piety. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah isAll-Aware of what youdo.

And uponAllahso let put the trustthe believers.11And certainly

Allah tooka Covenant(from the) Children(of) Israeland We appointed

ifyou establishthe prayerand givethe zakahand you believe

in My Messengersand you assist themand you loan(to) Allaha goodly loan,

surely I will removefrom youyour evil deedsand I will surely admit you(to) gardens

flowfromunderneath themthe rivers.But whoeverdisbelievedafter

thatamong you,then certainlyhe strayed(from) the right way.12

So fortheir breaking(of) their covenantWe cursed themand We madetheir hearts

those whobelieve anddorighteous deeds that for themis forgivenessandagreat reward.

And those whodisbelieve and deny

Signs those are thecompanions of theHellfire.

O you who believe!Remember the Favor of Allah upon you, when people determined tostretch their handstowards you, butrestrained their handsfrom you. And fear Allah; and upon Allahlet the believers put their trust.

And certainly Allahtook a Covenant fromthe Children of Israeland appointed fromamong them twelveleaders. And Allah said,Indeed, am with youif you establish prayer and give andyou believe inMessengers and assistthem and loan Allah agoodly loan, surely willremove from you your evil deeds and will admityou to gardens beneathwhich rivers flows.But whoever of youdisbelieves after that,has certainly strayedfromthe right way.

So for their breakingof their covenantcursed them andmade their hearts

making clearto youmuchof whatyou used toconceal

ofthe Scriptureand overlookingmuch.Surely

has come to youfromAllaha lightand a clear Book

(to the) ways(of) the peace,and brings them outfromthe darknessess

tothe lightby His permission,and guides themto

took their covenant; but they forgot a partof what they werereminded of. Soaroused enmity andhatred between themuntil the Day of Resurrection. And soonAllah will inform themabout what they used todo.

O People of the Book!Surely there has cometo you Messenger making clear to youmuch of what you usedto conceal of theScriptureand overlooking much.Surely there has come toyou from Allah a lightanda clearBook

By whichAllah guidesthose who seek pleasure to the ways of peace and brings themout from darkness intolight by permissionandguidesthemto

wills, and Allah has powerover everything.

The Jews and theChristian say, We arethe children of Allahand beloved. Say,Then why does punish you for your sins. Nay, you arehuman beings fromamong those created.

forgives whomwills and punisheswhom wills. Andto Allah belongs thedominion of the heavensand the earth andwhatever is betweenthem and to is thefinal return.

O People of the Book!Surely has come to you

Messenger tomake clear to you (thereligion) after aninterval of (cessation of)Messengers, lest yousay, Theredid notcometo us any bearer of gladtidings or a warner.

Enterthe Holy landwhichAllah has ordainedfor youand (do) not

turnonyour backs,then you will turn back(as) losers.21They said,

O Musa!Indeed,in it(are) people(of) tyrannical strengthand indeed, we

neverwill enter ituntilthey leavefrom it,and ifthey leave

[from] itthen certainly we (will)enter (it).22Saidtwo men

fromthose whofeared (Allah),Allah had Favored[on] both of them,Enter

upon them(through) the gatethen whenyou have entered itthen indeed, you (will be)

victorious.And uponAllahthen put your trustifyou arebelievers.

23They said,O Musa!Indeed, weneverwill enter it,ever,

as long as they arein it.So goyouand your Lordand you both fight.

Butsurely there has cometo you a bearer of gladtidings and a warner.And Allah has power over everything.

And (remember)when Musa said, O my people, remember theFavor of Allah upon youwhen placed amongyou Prophets and madeyou kings and gaveyou what had notgiven anyone among theworlds.

O my people! Enter the Holy land whichAllah has ordained for you and do not turn your backs, for then you willturnback as losers.

They said, O Musa!Indeed, within it are people of tyrannicalstrength and indeed, wewill never enter it untilthey leave it; and if theyleave it, then certainlywewill enterit.

Said two men fromthose who feared (Allah)upon whom Allah had bestowed favor, Enter upon them through thegate, for when you haveentered it, then indeedyou will be victorious.And put your trust inAllah if you are believers.

They said, O Musa!Indeed, we will never enter it, ever, as long asthey are in it. So go, youandyour Lord, andfight.

Indeed, weare [here]sitting.24He saidO my Lord!Indeed, I

(do) not(have) powerexcept(over) myselfand my brother,so (make a) separation

between usand betweenthe defiantly disobedient people.25(Allah) said,

Then indeed it(will be) forbiddento them(for) fortyyears,

they will wanderinthe earth.So (do) notgrieveover

the defiantly disobedient people.26And reciteto them

the story(of) two sons(of) Adam,in truth,whenboth offered

a sacrifice,and it was acceptedfromone of themand not

was acceptedfromthe other.Said (the latter),Surely I will kill you.

Said (the former),OnlyAllah acceptsfromthe God fearing.27If

you stretchtowards meyour handto kill me,I will notstretch

my handtowards youto kill you,indeed IfearAllah(the) Lord

(of) the worlds.28Indeed, Iwishthatyou be ladenwith my sin

and your sinso you will beamong(the) companions(of) the Fire,and that

(is the) recompense(of) the wrong-doers.29Then promptedto himhis soul

Indeed, we are sittinghere.

He said, O myLord!Indeed, I do not havecontrol except over myself and my brother,so separate us fromthe defiantly disobedient people.

Allah said, Thenindeed, it will beforbidden to them for forty years, they willwander in the earth. Sodo not grieve over thedefiantly disobedient people.

And recite to them thestory of the two sons of Adam in truth, whenthey both offered asacrifice, and it wasaccepted from one of them but was not

accepted from the other.Said (the latter), SurelyI will kill you. Said(theformer), Allah onlyaccepts from the Godfearing.

If you stretch your hand against me to killme, I will not stretch myhand against you to killyou. Indeed, I fear Allah,theLordof theworlds.

Indeed, I wish thatyou be laden with mysin and your sin, so youwill be among thecompanions of the Fire.And that is therecompense of thewrong-doers.

Then Allah senta crow,it (was) scratchinginthe earthto show himhow

to hide(the) dead body(of) his brother.He said,Woe to me!Am I unable

thatI can belikethis[the] crowand hide(the) dead body

(of) my brother?Then he becameofthe regretful.31From time

that,We ordainedon(the) Children(of) Israelthat hewhokills

a soulother than(for) a soulor(for) spreading corruptioninthe earth

then (it) is as ifhe has killedall [the] mankind,and whoeversaves it

then (it) is as ifhe has savedall [the] mankind.And surelycame to them

Our Messengerswith clear Signsyet,indeed,manyof themafter

thatinthe earth(are) surely those who commit excesses.32Only

(the) recompense(for) those whowage war(against) Allahand His Messenger

and striveinthe earthspreading corruption(is) thatthey be killedor

they be crucifiedorbe cut offtheir handsand their feetofopposite sides

orthey be exiledfromthe land.That(is) for themdisgracein

to kill his brother, so hekilledhim and became of the losers.

Then Allah sent acrow who scratched thegroundto show himhowto hide the dead bodyof his brother. He said,Woe t o me! Am Iunable to be like thiscrow and hide the dead body of my brother?Then he became of theregretful.

From that time,ordainedon the Childrenof Israel that whoever kills a soul other than for a life or for spreadingcorruption in the earth,

then it is as if hehas killed the wholemankind, and whoever saves it then it is as if hehas saved the wholemankind. And surely

Messengers cameto them with clear Signs,yet even after that manyof them committedexcessesin theearth.

Verily the punishmentfor those who wage awar against Allah and

Messenger andspread corruption in theearth is that they bekilled or crucified or their hands and their feetof opposite sides becut off or they be exiledfrom the land. That istheirdisgrace in

the worldand for theminthe Hereafter(is) a punishmentgreat.33

Exceptthose whorepentbeforethatyou overpower[over] them,

then knowthatAllah(is) Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.34O you

and strive hardinHis way,so that you maysucceed.35Indeed,

those whodisbelieve,ifthatfor them(is) what(is) inthe earthall

and the like of itwith it,to ransom themselveswith it,from(the) punishment

(of the) Day(of) the Resurrection,notwill be acceptedfrom them,and for them

(is) a punishmentpainful.36They will wishthatthey come outof

the Firebut nottheywill come outof it.And for them(is) a punishment

lasting.37And (for) the male thiefand the female thief -[then] cut off

their hands(as) a recompensefor whatthey earned(as) an exemplary (punishment)

fromAllah.And Allah(is) All-Mighty,All-Wise.38But whoeverrepented

afterhis wrongdoingand reforms,then indeed,Allah

will turn in forgiveness to him.Indeed,Allah(is) Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.39

this world, and in theHereafter they will havea great punishment.

Except those whorepent before you overpower them. And know thatAllah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.

O you who believe!Fear Allah and seek themeans (of nearness) to

and strive hard inway so that you maysucceed.

Indeed, those whodisbelieve,if they had allthatis intheearthandthelikeof it withit bywhichto ransom themselvesfrom the punishment of the Day of Resurrection,it will not be acceptedfrom them, and for themis a painfulpunishment.

They will wish to comeout of the Fire, but theywill not come out of it.And for them is a lasting punishment.

And for the male andthe female thief cut off their hands in recompensefor what they haveearned as an exemplary

(punishment ) f romAllah. And Allah is All-Mighty,All-Wise.

But whoever repentsafter his wrongdoingand reforms (his ways),then indeed, Allah willturn towards him inforgiveness. Indeed,Allah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.

43Indeed,We revealedthe Tauratin it(was) Guidanceand light;

judgedby itthe Prophets,those whohad submitted (to Allah)for those who

the peoplebut fear Me ,and (do) notsellMy Verses(for) a little price.

And whoever(does) not judgeby whatAllah has revealed,then those[they]

(are) the disbelievers.44And We ordainedfor themin itthat -the life

for the life,and the eyefor the eye,and the nosefor the nose,and the ear

for the ear,and the toothfor the tooth,and (for) wounds(is) retribution.But whoever

gives it (up as) charity,then it isan expiationfor him.And whoever(does) not

But how can theyappoint you a judgewhile they have withthemtheTaurat, whereinis the Command of Allah? Then they turnaway after that, and theyarenot believers.

Indeed, revealedthe Taurat wherein wasGuidance and light. TheProphets who submitted(to Allah) judged by it

for the Jews, as did theRabbis and the scholarsas they were entrustedwith the Book of Allahand they were witnessesto it. So do not fear the people but fear , anddo not sell Versesfor a little price. Andwhoever does not judge by what Allah hasrevealed, then those arethe disbelievers.

And ordained for them therein a life for alife, an eye for an eye, anosefor a nose,an ear for anear,a tooth fora tooth,and for the wounds is aretribution. But whoever gives it (up as) charity,then it is an expiation for him.Andwhoever does

and a Guidanceand an admonitionfor the God conscious.46And let judge

(the) People(of) the Injeelby whatAllah has revealedin it.And whoever

(does) not judgeby whatAllah revealedthen those[they] (are)

the defiantly disobedient.47And We revealedto youthe Bookin [the] truth,

confirmingwhat(was) before itofthe Bookand a guardianover it.

So judgebetween themby whatAllah has revealedand (do) notfollow

their vain desireswhenhas come to youofthe truth.For eachWe have made

for youa lawand a clear way.And ifAllah (had) willedHe (would have) made you

one community[and] butto test youinwhatHe (has) given you,so race

(to) the good.ToAllahyou will all return,then He will inform youof what

you wereconcerning itdiffering.48And thatyou judgebetween them

And on their footstepssent Isa, son of

Maryam, confirmingwhat was before him of the Taurat, and gavehim the Injeel, in it wasGuidance and light andconfirming what was before him of the Tauratand a Guidance and an

admonition for thosewhoare Godconscious.

And let the People of the Injeel judge by whatAllah has revealedtherein. And whoever does not judge by whatAllah has revealed, thenthose are the defiantlydisobedient.

And haverevealedto you the Book in truth,confirming the Book that came before it and asa guardian over it. So judge between them bywhat Allah has revealedand do not follow their vain desires when thetruth has come to you.For each of you have prescribed a law and aclear way. And if Allahhad willed, wouldhave made you one

community but ( plan) is to test you inwhat has given you;so race to (all that is)good. Towards Allahyou will all return, then

will inform youconcerning that over which youused to differ.

lestthey tempt you awayfromsome(of) whatAllah has revealedto you.

(of) their sins.And indeed,manyofthe people(are) defiantly disobedient.49

Is it then the judgmentof [the] ignorancethey seek?And who (is)betterthan

Allah(in) judgmentfor a people(who) firmly believe.50O youwho

believe!(Do) nottakethe Jewsand the Christians(as) allies.Some of them

(are) allies(to) others.And whoevertakes them as alliesamong you,then indeed, he

(is) of them.Indeed,Allah(does) notguidethe wrongdoing people.51

And you seethose -intheir hearts(is) a diseasethey hastento themsaying,

We fearthat(may) strike usa misfortune.But perhapsAllah[that]will bring

the victoryora decisionfrom Him .Then they will becomeforwhat

they had concealedwithinthemselves,regretful.52And will saythose who

believe,Are thesethose whosworeby Allahstrongest,(of) their oaths,

indeed, they(were) with you?Became worthlesstheir deeds,and they became

by what Allah hasrevealed and do notfollow their vain desiresand beware of them lestthey tempt you awayfrom some of what Allahhas revealed to you. Andif they turn away, thenknow that Allah onlyintends to afflict themfor some of their sins.And indeed, manyamong the people aredefiantlydisobedient.

Is it then the judgmentof ignorance they seek?And who is better thanAllah in judgment for a people who firmly believe.

O you who believe!Donot take the Jews andthe Christians as allies.They are allies of oneother. And whoever amongyou takes them asallies, then indeed he isof them. Indeed, Allahdoes not guide thewrongdoing people.

And you see thosein whose hearts is adisease (i.e., hypocrisy),they hasten to themsaying, We fear that amisfortune may strikeus. But perhaps Allahwill bring victory or adecision from .Then they will becomeregretful over what theyhad been concealingwithin themselves.

And those who believewill say, Are these theones who swore byAllahtheir strongest oaths thatindeed they were withyou? Their deeds have become worthless, andtheyhave becomelosers.

fromhis religion,then soonAllah (will) bringa peoplewhom He loves

and they love Him ,humbletowardsthe believers(and) sterntowardsthe disbelievers;

strivingin(the) way(of) Allahand notfearingthe blame(of) a critic.

That(is the) Grace(of) Allah,He grantswhomHe wills.And Allah

(is) All-Encompassing,All-Knowing.54Onlyyour ally(is) Allah

and His Messenger,and those whobelieve,and those whoestablishthe prayer

and givezakahand they(are) those who bow down.55And whoever

takes as an allyAllahand His Messengerand those whobelieve,then indeed.

(the) party(of) Allah -they(are) the victorious.56O youwhobelieve!

(Do) nottakethose whotakeyour religion(in) ridiculeand funfrom

those whoare giventhe Bookbefore youand the disbelievers(as) allies.

And fearAllah,ifyou arebelievers.57And when

you make a callforthe prayer,they take it(in) ridiculeand fun.That

(is) because they(are) a people(who do) notunderstand.58Say,

O you who believe!Do not take allies thosewho take your religionin r id icule and funamong those who weregiven the Book andthe disbelievers. Andfear Allah, if you are believers.

And when you make acall for prayer, they takeit in ridicule and fun.That is because they area people who do notunderstand.

O People of the Book!Do you resent us except(for the fact) that we believe in Allah andwhat has been revealedto us and what wasrevealed before us andthat most of you aredefiantlydisobedient.

Say, Shall I informyou of something worsethan that as recompensef r om A l la h ? T h os ewhom Allah has cursed

and became angrywith them, and madesome of them apes andswines and those whoworshipped the falsedeities. Those are worsein position and farthestastray from the even(i.e., right) way.

And when they cometo you, they say, We believe. But certainlytheyenteredwithdisbelief

and they certainly wentout with it. And Allahknows best what theywerehiding.

And you see many of them hastening into sinand transgression anddevouring (what is)forbidden. Surely, evil iswhat theywere doing.

Why dothe rabbisandthe religious scholarsnot forbid them fromsaying what is sinfuland devouring what isforbidden? Surely, evil iswhattheyusedto do.

And the Jews said,The Hand of Allah ischained. Their handsare chained and theyhave been cursed for what theysay.Nay,

His Hands(are) stretched outHe spendshowHe wills.And surely increasemany

of them,whathas been revealedto youfromyour Lord,(in) rebellion

and disbelief.And We have castamong them[the] enmityand [the] hatredtill

(the) Day(of) the Resurrection.Every timethey kindled(the) fireof [the] war,

Allah extinguished it.And they striveinthe earthspreading corruption.And Allah

(does) notlovethe corrupters.64And ifthat(the) People

(of) the Book(had) believedand feared (Allah),surely We (would have) removed

from themtheir evil (deeds)and surely We (would have) admitted them(to) Gardens

(of) Bliss.65And ifthat theyhad stood firmly(by) the Tauratand the Injeel

and whatwas revealedto themfromtheir Lord,surely they (would have) eaten

fromabove themand frombeneaththeir feet.Among them(is) a community

moderate,but manyof them -evil(is) whatthey do.66

OMessenger!Conveywhathas been revealedto youfrom

your Lord,and ifnotyou dothen notyou (have) conveyedHis Message.

And Allahwill protect youfromthe people.Indeed,Allah(does) not

And if only the Peopleof theBook had believedand feared Allah, surely

would haveremovedfrom them their evilsdeeds and would haveadmitted them toGardens of Bliss.

And if only they hadstood firmly by theTaurat and the Injeel andwhat was revealed tothem from their Lord,surely they would haveconsumed (provision)from above them andfrom beneath their feet.Among them is amoderate community, butmany ofthemdo evildeeds.

O Messenger! Conveywhat has been revealedto you from your Lord,and if you do not, thenyou have not conveyed

Message. And Allahwill protect you from the people. Indeed, Allahdoesnot

guidethe disbelieving people.67Say,O People(of) the Book!You are not

onanythinguntilyou stand firmly(by) the Tauratand the Injeeland what

has been revealedto youfromyour Lord.And surely increasemanyof them,

whathas been revealedto youfromyour Lord,(in) rebellionand disbelief.

So (do) notgrieveoverthe disbelieving people.68Indeed,those who

believedand those whobecame Jewsand the Sabiansand the Christians,whoever

believedin Allahand the Last Dayand didgood deeds,then nofear

on themand nottheywill grieve.69CertainlyWe took

a Covenant(from the) Children(of) Israeland We sentto them

Messengers.Whenevercame to themany Messengerwith what

notdesiredtheir souls,a groupthey denied

and a groupthey kill.70And they thoughtthat not

will be (for them)a trial,so they became blindand they became deaf.

ThenAllah turnedto them,then (again)they became blind

and they became deaf,manyof them.And Allah

O People of the Book!You are not on anythinguntil you stand firmly by the Taurat and theInjeel, and what has been revealed to youfromyour Lord. Andthatwhich has been revealedto you from your Lordwill surely increase many

of them in rebellion anddisbelief. So do not grieveover the disbelieving people.

Indeed, those who believed and those whoare Jews and the Sabiansand the Christians,whoever believed inAllah and the Last Dayand did good deeds, thenthey will have no fear,norwill theygrieve.

Surely took aCovenant from theChildren of Israel andsent to them Messengers.WheneveranyMessenger came to them with whattheir souls didnot desire,some(of theMessengers)they denied and some of themthey killed.

And they thoughtthere would be no trialfor them, so they became blind and deaf. ThenAllah turned to them (inforgiveness), then (again)many of them became blind and deaf. AndAllah

and seek His forgiveness?And Allah(is) Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.

Worship Allah,my Lord and your Lord.Indeed, he who associates partners with Allah thensurely Allah has forbiddenParadise for him, and hisabode will be theFire.Andthere will be no helpers for the wrongdoers.

Certainly they havedisbelieved, those whosay, Indeed,Allah is thethird of the three. Andthereis nogod except the

God.And if they donot desist from whatthey are saying, a painful punishment willsurely afflict those whodisbelieveamong them.

So will they not turnto Allah and seek forgiveness? And Allahis Oft-Forgiving, MostMerciful.

but a Messenger, certainlyMessengers had passedaway before him. Andhis mother was truthful.They both used to eatfood. See how makeclear to them the Signs;then see how they aredeluded.

Say, Doyouworship besides Allah that whichhas no power either toharm you or benefit youwhile it is Allah isthe All-Hearing, the All-Knowing?

Say, O People of theBook! Do not exceed inyour religion beyond thetruth and do not followthe vain desires of a people who went astray before and misled many,and they have strayedfromthe right way.

Those who disbelievedfrom the Children of Israel were cursed by thetongue of Dawood andIsa, son of Maryam, because they disobeyedand they used totransgress.

they hadbelievedin Allahand the Prophetand what

has been revealedto him,notthey (would have) taken them(as) allies;

[and] butmanyof them(are) defiantly disobedient.81

Surely you will findstrongest(of) the people(in) enmity

to those whobelieve,the Jewsand those who(are) polytheists;

and surely you will findnearest of them(in) affectionto those who

believe,those whosay,We(are) Christians.

That (is)becauseamong them(are) priestsand monks,

and that they(are) notarrogant.82

You see many of themtaking as allies thosewho disbelieved. Surely,evil is what they have

Prophet and what has been revealed to him,they would not havetaken them as allies; but many of them aredefiantlydisobedient.

Surely, you will findthe strongest among

people in enmitytowards the believers -the Jews and those whoassociate partners withAllah; and surely youwill find nearest of themin affection to believersthose who say, Weare Christians. That is because among themare priests and monksand because they are notarrogant.

And whenthey listen(to) whathas been revealedtothe Messenger,you see

their eyesoverflowingwiththe tears,for whatthey recognizedofthe truth.

They say,Our Lord,we have believedso write uswiththe witnesses.83

And whatfor us (that)notwe believein Allahand whatcame (to) usfrom

the truth?And we hopethatwill admit usour Lordwiththe righteous people.

84So Allah rewarded themfor whatthey said(with) Gardensflowsfrom

underneath themthe rivers,will abide foreverin it.And that(is the) reward

(of) the good-doers.85And those whodisbelievedand deniedOur Signs,

those(are the) companions(of) the Hellfire.86O youwhobelieve!

(Do) notmake unlawful(the) good thingswhatAllah has made lawfulfor you,

and (do) nottransgress.Indeed,Allah(does) notlovethe transgressors.

87And eatof whatAllah has provided you -lawfulgood.

And fear Allah,the Onein Him you (are)believers.88

Allah will not call you to accountfor the thoughtless utterancesinyour oaths

butHe will call you to accountfor whatyou contracted(of) the oath.

So Allah rewardedthem for what they saidwith Gardens underneathwhich rivers flow,wherein they will abideforever. And that is thereward of the good-doers.

And those whodisbelieve and denySigns, those are thecompanions of theHellfire.

O you who believe!Do not make unlawfulgood things,whichAllahhas made lawful for youand do not transgress.Indeed, Allah does notlove the transgressors.

Andeat whatAllah has provided for you lawfuland good things. Andfear Allah, the in

you believe.

Allah will not callyou to account for your thoughtless utterances inyour oaths but willcall you to account for yourdeliberateoaths.

Allahand obeythe Messengerand beware.And ifyou turn away,then know

onlyuponOur Messenger(is to) clearly convey (the Message).92Noton

So its expiation is thefeeding of ten needy persons from the averageof what you feed your families or clothing themor freeing a slave. Butwhoever does not find(or afford it) then afasting of three days.That is the expiation of your oaths when youhave sworn. Thereforeguard your oaths. ThusAllah makes clear to you

Verses so that youmaybe grateful.

O you who believe!Verily, intoxicants andgames of chance and(sacrifices at) altars anddivining arrows are anabomination from thework of Shaitaan, soavoid it so that you may be successful.

Surely our testimony(is) truerthantestimony of the other twoand not

is truer than their testimony, and we havenot transgressed. Indeed,we will then be of thewrongdoers.

That is more likelythat they will givetestimony in its trueform, or they would fear that their oaths may berefuted by others oaths.And fear Allah andlisten; and Allah doesnot guide the defiantlydisobedient people.

The Day Allah willgather the Messengersand say, What was theresponse you received?They will say, We haveno knowledge. Indeed,

are the Knower of the unseen.

respite would have been granted to them.8And ifWe had made himan Angel,

And no sign comes tothem from the Signs of their Lord except thattheyturnawayfromit.

Thenindeed, theydeniedthe truth when it came tothem, but soon news willcome to them about whatthey used to mock.

destroyed beforethem which hadestablished upon theearth as have notestablished you? And

sent (rain) fromthe sky upon them inabundant showers and

made the rivers flow beneath them. Thendestroyed them for their sins and raised after them othergenerations.

Andevenif hadsentdown to you a writtenScripture on parchmentand they touched it withtheir hands, those whodisbelieved would havesaid, This is nothing butobviousmagic.

And they said, Whyhas not an Angel beensent down to him? And

if had sent down anAngel, the matter wouldhave been decided; thenno respite would have been grantedto them.

And if had madehim (i.e., the Messenger)an Angel, certainlywould have made him(appear as) a man and

wouldhaveobscured

And to belongswhatever dwells in thenight and the day, and

is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Say Is it other thanAllah I should take as a protector, Creator of theheavens and the earth,while it is feedsand is not fed? Say,Indeed, I have beencommanded to be thefirst to submit (to Allah)and not to be of thosewho associate partnerswithAllah.

Andwho is more unjustthan he who invents a lieagainst Allah or rejects

Signs? Indeed, thewrongdoers will not be

successful.

And the Day willgather them all together,then will saytothosewho associated otherswith Allah, Where areyour partners, thosewhom you usedto claim.

Then they will have no plea

exceptthatthey say,By Allah,our Lord,notwe were

those who associated others (with Allah).23Lookhowthey liedagainst

themselves.And lostfrom themwhatthey used toinvent.24

And among them(are those) wholistento you,but We have placedover

their heartscoveringslestthey understand it,and intheir earsdeafness.And if

they seeeverysignthey will not believein it.Until,whenthey come to you

and argue with yousaythose whodisbelieved,This (is) notbut(the) tales

(of) the former (people).25And theyforbid (others)from itand they keep away

from it.And notthey destroyexceptthemselvesand notthey perceive.

26And ifyou (could) seewhenthey are made to standbythe Fire

then they (will) say,Oh! Would that wewere sent backand notwe would deny

(the) Signs(of) our Lordand we would beamongthe believers.27Nay,

became manifestfor themwhatthey used toconcealbefore.And if

they were sent backcertainly they (would) return
